Hey guys and gals, new member here.

I was a pretty heavy smoker who smoked anywhere from a half a pack to a pack and a half a day, depending on my working and socializing schedule. My main cig brands were Marlboro reds, Camel filters and any "full flavors" that were on sale. Basically I'm addicted to nicotine. I'm nearing 40 years old and was tired of smoking and the stink and health problems it creates.

I just recently bought a starter kit from Halo and am pretty pleased with it. I haven't smoked an "analog" for 2 weeks now.
I love the Tribeca flavor and ordered the "Midnight Apple" juice to try because I saw some good reviews of it and like that as well.

So I guess my question for you vaping veterans is this: How many of you have tried the Halo G6? How does it compare with the larger e-cigs? Is the extra effort and complication of getting juice and accessories from different suppliers worth it? How practical is it with a busy schedule?

Thank in advance for any replies,
Josh

Ok JP. Here's the specs from link:
Jet Black Electronic Cigarette Kit

Battery is 3.7 volts. Good
mAh rating not designated
Battery threading type not designated

Cartomizer resistance 2.4-2.8. Too high a resistance for MY vaping pleasure on a 3.7 volt battery. Just my 2€
Cartomizer thread is silver??? Give me a break!!! We don't want to know COLOR! We want to know thread type. Example: "510" or "808".

So all in all, knowing what I know now, I have learned very little about this kit from their website. So, it's hard to compare it to anything else.

But...if it keeps you off the cigarettes, it's the best in the world.

And until you get bored with it or it fails to satisfy you, I see no need to change it. Veterans shop at different vendors for different specific stuff that they like. But for newbies, it is best to keep it simple.

Enjoy.

I used the Halo G6 when I 1st started out. It got me by for awhile OK. After 2 months one of the batteries died. For a cig alike it is good. Compared to something like an Ego twist it doesn't hold a candle. The problem is that with the cig sized batteries you can only get so far. They only hold a charge for 2 or 3 hours because they are so small. The vape gets weaker and weaker as the battery drains and the smaller the battery the faster it happens. Any rechargable only has up to 300 recharges in it so the more often you have to charge the faster it just stops holding a charge and then you have to throw it out and buy a new one. If you have a large battery that lasts say 10 hours you only have to charge it once a day while those little cig a likes need it 3 or 4 times a day. This means they are more expensive to use over time. Charging every few hours gets to be a pain especially when you know there are longer lasting ones available. For most of us the only thing the cig a likes have going for them is that they feel closest to a real cig. After we have time to separate ourselves further from real cigs we seem to care less and less about that aspect and just want the best vapes with the longest battery life at the best price. I started out with the Halo G6 and now I use a standard Provari with a 6 ml tank. I only need to charge my battery and refill my tank every other day and I love that. If I could have these things from a cig sized set up I would still be using one. I hope this helps you out.

If you're looking to quit nicotine altogether then what you have is probably all you'll need. Just try to lower your nic strength every few months, but remember to keep some of the higher strength stuff around in case you need it. Every time I try to lower my nic levels I end up smoking again, but I have been hitting my PV fewer times every day.

Good luck!

I can't add more than what has already been said about the g6, but wanted to offer a suggestion as to Halo juices. If you smoked Camels, try their Turkish. I was a Camel smoker and that juice is the best alternative I've found for a nice dry, non-sweet 'bacco flavor. Their Captain Jack is also quite good and packs a punch even at low nic levels.

If you get the Midnight Apple let it steep for a couple of weeks. I tried it a couple of days after receiving it and hated it. Harsh and the apple tasted more like rotten apple than anything else. I put it aside and tried it a month later, and it was wonderful. Smooth, and the apple taste was just right. So good that I ordered more.

That definitely looks like its kr808d-1 to me. I would highly recommend the PCC (portable charging case) for those. Those were my first e-cigs and the PCC really mad the whole thing more convenient. They're usually about $15 and comparable to the size of a pack of smokes.

Hey thanks for the suggestion, I just bought a third battery so I will always have two fully charged ones on hand. I could use a case though, Halo ships the starter kit in a tin which isn't exactly pocket friendly. I thought about putting some padding in an empty Altoids tin for now...lol.

Yeah, I want to gradually lower my nic levels over time. I ordered a sample pack so I'll keep a bottle or two at 18 mg strength just in case. I am NOT smoking again!

I used the G6, it has the 808d threads, you can get adapters to the 501 threaded stuff, it served me well to start with, then I graduated up to the Visions 1300 mah Spinner, which I love, I get almost 36 hours on one battery before charging.

It looks like a nice piece especially for 30 bucks! You cant beat that battery charge time.
