Me? I enjoy building the sub and super sub ohm builds. I throw a .1 or lower build on, set wattage around 145 or so, and vape away. My usual go to only comes out to around .15, dual coils, usually 7 wraps each , 3 mm id. Or if i want to go lower i can take out a wrap or two.

Just trying to get everyones opinions on using 20 ga. kanthal wire. Preferences on other guages and such. what's your go to coil wire?

That's some Really Thick wire. I Couldn't handle the Ramp-Up time of something like that.

I'm Very Happy with 26ga SS or 26 or 28ga NiChrome 80 for the Flavor Chasing I do.

20g Kanthal would be useless for me. All I use are single 18650 mechanical squonkers.
I haven't even used Kanthal in quite a while. I switched to 316L SS a while back. I use 24g on my Stumpy and Maker single Z coils. On my smaller attys, I'll use either 26g single coil or 28g duals. In my Hadalys I have single 28g parallel Z coils.

My overall preference is for 22 gauge. I find it has the perfect balance of ramp up and cool down that is great for my style of vaping. I have played around with 20 gauge and have one RDA that can make decent use of it. But the cool down, LOL, the cool down is just too much, watching all that juice cook away. Only get a couple real good hits out of it before 30 drips is gone.

Mostly 26g on everything. Even my Claptons are single or dual core 26 wrapped with 32-40. I do use 28 at times when doing a dual parallel, or twisted wire coils. I've tried doing a dual parallel in 26, but the ramp up time is horrendous. 20 or 22 is too much metal for me. I mostly use 316l for the Claptons, and Ni80 for single wire coils. Sometimes I build with Kanthal as well.
