I love how all the threads in the classies say "only ran 2 mls of juice through it." Here is a pic of my Lace wood that I have run a GALLON of juice through. This thing is my workhorse. I cleaned the contacts and DGOLDED them and please don't scold me for the scratch marks on the contact. I figure at some point I will just send it into the spa for a rejuvenation. It needs a complete overhaul at this point. God I love this mod.

I'm looking at the spring and wondering if you are running Sammy 25R button tops in it like I do?

I see you have your strike plate rotated 90 degrees to show us the scratches on it. Do many Woodvil owners loosen the nipple and rotate that plate to erase and Deox it? I have never. Only applied some Deoxit to the plate and firing pin while in their original positions.

No.. I use the deoxit gold brush version! Only way to fly with a Woodvil 2015! ;)

I get a little deoxit on a peice of paper towel, slide it in between the button and plate, and slide it out while pressing the button for a friction wipe.

And I've actually gotten a TINY little spot of dark come off onto the paper that way.

Unlike many folks, I never have seen any arcing at all...(lowest I run is about 0.45) but I do the Deoxit thing anyway, every month or so... teeensy little wipe on the battery contacts and firing point.

Yes I've done it that way for about a month or so before finally ordering the brush bottle.

Actually now that I think back I ended up using a tiny peice of paper and squished it with the button press.. that way I didn't waste alot of the deoxit cause the napkin/paper towel would absorb it so you really would have to get alot on it.

The paper towel method is a must for cleaning once in a while with rubbing alcohol.

I got to tell you, this post inspired me to get my second Woodville into the rotation and start using it. I just threw a RM2 that I had sitting idle on it and filler her up and started vaping. I even began taking them out of the house when I going out and about. Feels kina good to actually use them and just not worry about it...

That's great enaud. After my mod got some use marks on it sliding it in and out of my car holder I didn't care anymore. Pound for pound, these mods are so dang solid, reliable, hit great and rarely fail. This has been repeted in these threads for so long. I use the heck out of all my gear. Overall I still take care of my gear as well. All REOs need to get out every once in awhile for a spin around town and some fresh air. [emoji193] [emoji4]

When I clean the plate, I loosen the switch contact on the side a bit, with the lncluded hex key, and swing it out of the way, so a q tip with some alcohol will fit in there. I also clean the switch contact, at that time. Then swing it back in place, and snug the screw. More regularly, I just use the Deoxit Gold brush, slide it in between the plate and switch, press the switch lightly, and pull the brush out.
