I dont see very many threads regarding 22 ga builds. i hear the pros and cons regarding it but none are convincing arguements.

some points people make are based off of personal expierence.

it gets too hot to produce nice vapor clouds (too much thermal mass, very poor ratio of volume to surface area) blah blah
battery can't handle it
excessive

we all know that the right equipment and air intake plays a huge factor. so lets say we have that all in line.

what are some of your personal encounters with 22 ga?

I have an atty built with 22 guage 20 gauge and 18 gauge. I think as long as you have a extra long drip tip and quality batteries lower gauge wires are the way to go. I got a duel 22 guage to go .22 ohm

The lowest I've gone is 24ga. Dual macros at .4 Ohms gives excellent flavor/vapor production. I would be interested to try 22ga though just for the heck of it....

i would love to try lower that 22 ga. i love the flavor and vape production. i wouldn't mind doing a dual 22 ga but can't seem to get it above .25. soon though i'll get it!

my one and only encounter with 22 is, going to the shop to get some and being told they dont carry it

One major con of 20/22 awg is that it is tricky to get firing evenly when building dual coils. It also strays hot for a very long time. That said, I am currently running dual parallel 20awg at 0.08 ohms, monster clouds.

I would rather twist 4 28 gauge wires tightly together to effectively get a 22 gauge wire that will wick juice onto itself.
