I've been vaping for 3 months at first i used 12 mg and would easily get a nicotine buzz. Within a month i was up to 24mg because the only effect i was getting was a little lightheadedness. Now the 24mg doesn't do anything for me and all the eliquid I have in 24 is ridiculously harsh even though its 100 vg and wasn't harsh when it was 12mg. So I want to drop my tolerance and purposely gave my ecig to a friend to hold for 7 days. I'm on day 4 and I don't feel any different accept for a headache on the second day. But will 7 days be enough to drop my tolerance so 16-18mg will give me a buzz?

I've never ever gotten a "buzz" with vaping. It's just not the same effect as smoke have. That's because regular cigarettes contain amonia that penetrates your lungs so your nictoine can be absorbed much faster. They say a ciggy is about 8 sec before we feel it. E cigarettes takes about 60 seconds. Not to mention all other nasty chemicals cigarettes got.

I never considered getting a buzz a part of the whole smoking/vaping experience. Sure, if I went an extended period without a smoke, I'd get a little head rush on my first one, but as a matter of routine, never. That's just not what nicotine is all about... at least for me.

Given that vaping supposedly releases nicotine into your system more slowly than smoking, it may be hard to maintain a buzz from it, I fear.

But, good luck with it!

I went from 12mg to 6mg mostly because 0mg juices don't taste good, and also because I could care less anymore about throat hit and a nic buzz. Very seldom did I feel a nic buzz from vaping anyway. I enjoy the vaping experience and the flavors so much, I forgot what reeking like Camel Blues was like along with any effects from nicotine. Forget the nicotine and do your body the favor.

I smoked for over 40 years, and by the time I quit a few months ago, there was nothing positive about it, buzz or otherwise. It was just something I did, because I had to, because my body had totally surrendered to the habit.

When I started vaping, the only thing I was interested in was not having an irresistible craving to smoke a cigarette. I started with a nicotine level that was way too low, because someone at a shop sold it to me, and I didn't know any better. It kept me from smoking, but just....barely.

I upped the nicotine to 24 mg and the difference was amazing. Not a buzz, but nearly total absence of any anxious, nervous feelings, and definitely no desire to smoke a cigarette. Vaping success for me. The fact that the flavors are pleasant is just a bonus. The big, big deal to me is that I no longer smoke. Never thought it would happen in a million years, but it did.:)

I'm a recent ex-ex-smoker so I have a long period of cigarette abstinence. So I do sometimes get cigarette buzzes. But I almost never get a buzz from e-cigs. The pure nicotine juice just doesn't really give much of a buzz.

I'm actually starting to get tired of the buzinness of regular cigs. Racing heartbeat, headrush, dizziness, all that. Ecigs have their own attractions beyond nicotine.

This is the first time I ear someone looking for a nicotine buzz.... Nicotine buzz happens to people that are not used to nicotine, your body will very quickly get use to nic and the buzz will disappear.... If you are chasing that buzz, you will end up vaping 1000mg/ml in a matter of months.

Easy solution... don't chase that buzz!

The very first night I vaped, I was using 18mg juice and I got a little bit lightheaded, reminiscent of a cigarette "buzz" I guess. After that, I never experienced one again. As much as I enjoy vaping as a hobby, I don't do it for the intoxication. The taste, absolutely. The cessation from smoking, definitely. But the buzz? Nah.

Partly depends on what kind of effect you are expecting to get from nicotine.

I started vaping to get off cigarettes. I got a buzz from the first hit off of a cigarette in the morning when that nicotine, ammonia and a lot of other psychoactive compounds first hit my bloodstream. During the rest of the day I wouldn't get any cigarette buzz unless I was smoking too much, and that buzz wasn't good.

The nicotine in e-liquid ended my tobacco craving but never gave me a buzz unless I was doing to much of it. The first vape in the morning hits me differently than cigarettes. No buzz at all from the 24mg I started with. The only nicotine effect hits a few minutes later: no craving, alertness and a very mild sense of well-being.

I smoked a pack and a half of Camel "light" 99s a day. 24mg was a good fit for me. Two years later I use about 2.5ml per day of 15mg nicotine liquid.

I wouldn't look to nicotine for a buzz. There are better compounds out there if that is what you are looking for.

The amount of nicotine in the blood will be reduced by 1/2 for every two to three hours after you stop using it.
