Tried patches, pills, gums and potions...all equally WORTHLESS!!!

Then I picked up a cheap E-cig from a truck stop...a disposable one...took a puff and thought..hey, not bad....so I purchased a kit from a local supplier....

I haven't smoked a real cig in a week!!!

I already feel better, smell better, can smell better, taste stuff better, and my chest doesn't feel like a box of rocks when I wake up in the morning.

Did a little more research on the ecig and of course, worthless bereaucrats are trying to ban and "regulate" the thing...gotta love it...always something that requires "regulation".

Sent a nasty email to the American Lung Association...basically told them that there stance on the E Cig issue is downright immoral...I doubt I'll get a reply. :)

George Carlin once made a comment in his stand up routine about the "owners of this country".... "It's a big club and you aint in it" So true...

Well done! just the kind of encouragement I need,I only started 2 days ago after 35 years of heavy smoking.

Den

Just stick with it...took me a few days to learn the technique and try a few different types of liquid....
I bought 6 batteries, several atomizers and two chargers for my 510....I HAVE to have it around..
No going back to Marlboros for me....

Good for you! I am at 2 weeks with no cigarettess because of my Joye 510. I had smoked for 14 years and wasted so much money on Nicorette (patches and gum) and they would work only for a few days until I drank or got stressed. I got to the point where I was spending like $100 a month on nicorette and still spending another $100 on cigarettes (I think the gum actually makes you more addicted to nicotine). This e-cig is damn AMAZING!

The gum tasted awefull and made me want to vomit....the patch burned my arm and I still wanted to smoke...
The pills did nothing for me.....

I tried a Marlboro today...tasted like charcoal....I took three puffs and tossed it, then went back to my E cig...
I now prefer it to regular smokes....

I'm 25 years old and started smoking when I was 16 for the last 4 months Ive been smoke free because of the EGO-T and Totally Wicked Tornado Tank systems. I love the flavor so much better and that it's customizable. I love picking out my own flavor of liquid and having it last me for months on end saving me tons of cash for each 5$ pack of nasty tobacco I use to buy every couple of days. I get bigger pulls of my E-Cig and I don't feel lung shot after getting my fit of nicotine. It's truly life changing.

Congrats and keep at it. As a truck driver that smoked up to 4 packs a day I can say the change is well worth it. The end of the second week was hardest as the nasty stuff inside me started comming out. I was sick feeling for about a week, starting on the second week. Zits, rashes, mucus cough, sweating, smeely pee, and all my food tasted funny. YMMV I smoked for 20+ yrs, and vaping does work. I started vaping 18mg per ml and now I vape 6 and 0mg all the time. Your sense of smell and taste will come back. The hardest part of the process was finding a juice flavor I liked. started with the 510, then the ego and then the Buzz with cartomizers.

Sometimes getting your sense of smell back isn't so great. LOL! I live in a building with dog owners, and my next door neighbors have two little dogs. I never realized how bad those two tiny little dogs made the hallway outside smell! I asked some other people if it always smelled like that, and they said no - before it smelled like dog and cigarettes. Now it's just the dog smell. I'm glad I don't contribute to the evil stench in the hallway, anymore! No wonder some neighbors started puting air fresheners out there (not that it helps)!

Good job man!

What i find interesting is how much better things taste and smell after quitting. I was looking for a certain shirt and thought i might have left it in my luggage. When i opened the hanging bag it smelled like i do after using the smoker except worse and didnt make me long for a big hunk of pork.

Good Luck

the patch made me crazy the last time I took it- panic attacks and stuff- and I dont panic- seriously- my kid was bit by a coral snake and I calmly called a friend who is an EMT.

Chantix started making me sick as a dog the 2nd time I took it and by the 3rd time it was making me crazy too-

the gum and lozenges tasted like ick- and were REALLY bad for my teeth.

I bought a gas station POS and never looked back! I have a 510 now, and am IN LOVE!!

I smoked for 20 years and loved it- I really did- I loved the taste, and when I would quit I would sit next to people as they smoked just so I could smell it. (the fresh cig smell, not the lingering aftersmell) Now, I sit beside my SIL who is still smoking and laugh- cause mine tastes like strawberry and hers tastes like tar and rat poison! :)

Congrats!! and Good luck!!

This was my favorite thing about quitting. Smell and taste came back in about 3 months after quitting. Now 1 full year later I am noticing I enjoy foods and smells that I was not a fan of before. Quitting smoking analogs FTW
