Im looking to build a coil to come in around 0.8 ohms. I have the tools and everything to build it but my questions are.
1. What sized drill bit.
2. How many wraps
Keep in mind i am working with 26 gauge. My atty is a TOBH 30mm and a hades mech mod with a sony 26650 highdrain 50 amp limit.

That says roughly 3mm screwdriver and 13 wraps should put you around .78. Also it's dual coils

I used 26g wire around 7/64in drill bit, and a 10/9 wrap brought me to 1.3 ohms. So I'd guess like a 8/7 or 7/6. That's single coil

So far its great! Shes chuckin clouds and i picked up some panasonic 26650 50 amp continous discharge batts and oh boy is it good!

Panasonic makes good batteries, i remember the 18650 2900mah one.

yeah i know, just remember that with most 26650 batteries will have higher mahs and higher amps, but always check, but you can build pretty much anything you want.

I highly disagree with this statement.... I've started looking at 26650 batteries lately and have found MANY that are not suitable for sub-ohm builds... you have to be every bit as careful with battery selection on 26650 as you do on 18650..... or any other size or type of battery...

i didn't say with all of them, i know what you mean, but there are 50A 3500mah 26650 batteries out there, that is a dream, not sure what their chemistry is though, haven't done a lot of research yet to know.

No, but you did say most... and that you can pretty much build anything on it.... in reality, you can't truly build any lower on resistance than you can on a VTC5...

why does everything have to be continuous, why cant they make a battery with a higher rated continuous power, also on a vtc5 a pulse can last 75 seconds, not saying it is safe but that is why they rate it that way

The standard definition of a pulse for the pulse rating on batteries, as defined by M.I.T. is a 30 second pulse.... but it also varies from manufacturer to manufacturer... some tend to overrate many of their claims.

Most of us tend to try to stay under the continuous because that is the safest rating to go by. Think of it like driving... if the speed limit is 65mph, but there is a torrential downpour, are you going to do 80mph? Or even 65mph? No, if you are trying to arrive at your destination safely, you will likely slow down to 45mph to account for the situation.... same thing with vaping, just with ohms and amperage...

I've never seen an authentic Sony spec / tech sheet / report give any pulse rating.
I'd like to see an authentic vtc5 spec sheet that backs up your claim of xx amps for 75 seconds pulse rate, please provide an authentic Sony spec/tech sheet that backs your claim of pulse rating.

Notice Sony doesn't even push their vtc5 battery past 20a CDR due to heating.

Not sure if it has been mentioned but the android app called Vapers Toolbox is very helpful with questions like this. Not 100% accurate, as I've found it can be off by a little bit but still puts you in the range you want to be in!
