26650 batteries..

Hey guys, so I recently purchased a fasttech clone, its a Hades mod clone. Anyone who owns one, I would like to know which batteries you run in them? I've heard some 26650s don't fit the clones etc. Just wanna make sure I don't spend my money foolishly.

Here's what you want to look for.

Max continuous discharging current says 20A rating, so thats what I should have in mind when rebuilding my coils, right?

Correct, you want to leave so room. So that 20amps would stipulate that you could do a .3 build with a fresh 4.2v battery and be at 14 amps (58watts)... which to me is not enjoyable. If I wanted to vape lava I'd visit Hawaii.

With a 3.7v battery you be at 12amps and 45watts.

Nice thing about IMR batteries is they have a burst rating of 60amps... just in case.

If I vape over 22watts on an average day it's using a dripper 100%VG and it's just to show off, can't say I am really enjoying the flavor at that point.

I'm not planning on going that low on resistance, I just don't feel safe no matter what everyone says (my thing, I know), but I've seen good results on other friends setups with .8 ohm coils. Hades + 26650 30 MM Kayfun with cotton microcoil, vapor and taste spot on for my taste.

Any input on that?

With that setup and that battery you will be perfectly fine. I still recommend the IMR battery just for safety reasons, even though you will not come close to hitting it's peak capacities. The setup you are looking at is very similar to what I use. The setup should last you for a very long time, only thing I would recommend is.. when you buy one battery, get one or two spares.

Yeah, its getting kinda expensive to go with a mech , but I think I will save on coils. I've been SOL with my nautilus tanks, wasted about 45 dollars worth of coils on them, good thing is my evic can run that kayfun as well, just doesn't feel right to leave my stuff to gather dust somewhere...

You will be happier in the long run I think. And you can always donate your old equipment to help somebody else try and quit smoking
