Received my 26650 slant top cap today. I must say I like it a lot. Perfect machining, threads, finish. What to order next?
Thanks Poconojo, I think you should treat yourself and order a cold one next

Last couple of days I took the Simplicity out on a short trip, no backup. I've been using it a LOT. This morning it was giving me fits with misfires.
When I got it home I took it apart the see what was up. My bottom post was black with oxidation, sandpaper fixed me right up. I'm not used to thinking about the contacts on a Super-T.
Right! Rhodium, palladium, whatever.Because of plated vs non plated?

Thanks for the tip!I haven't had to do any maintenance on mine yet, but plan on using a scotch-brite pad vs sandpaper. We use them at work to clean current carrying contacts, without removing any metal.
Nice to see you over here smokinwheels! Like that build!
Just a heads up that we'll also have some Palladium posts for the Simplicity 26650/26500 line too. Even if you have the brass ones and like them, they can be your spare set as it's always nice to have some extras.
I was sweating that one. Plated posts are an absolute necessity and the Super-T hallmark. Naked brass just wasn't cutting it in my 26650 with the use it gets. I'm a happy camper now.![]()
Are the palladium posts just for reducing oxidisation / maintenance or do they also assist voltage drop ?
