26650s from Amazon?

Can anyone recommend any 26650 batteries from Amazon? Most of the brand names I've never heard before. I had won a mod a while back that takes 18650 or 26650 batteries. I haven't tried it yet it's the wismec press TC 100w. I always had mods that had batteries pre installed. Recently got a credit to Amazon so was going to buy batteries for it from there. I also just won the Youde Simba tank and wanted to combine that with the presa. If anyone can recommend a 26650 battery selection I'd appreciate it. I'm only interested in what's on Amazon. If there aren't any goods ones I'd consider just getting 18650s. They only go to 75 watts which may be high enough anyway.

I recommend that you DO NOT purchase batteries from Amazon or eBay. There is a high likelihood that you will receive fakes or rewraps. I suggest that you only purchase batteries from authorized resellers like RTD Vapor and Orbitronics for example. It's really not worth it in my opinion to save a few bucks and risk getting fake batteries that you will be using within inches of your face.

I have to agree with Firestorm on this issue. Batteries are the most important part of your setup, regardless of the mod or atomizer. Don't skimp on batteries. Buy name brand batteries from reputable vendors such as RTD Vapor, IMR Batteries, Illumn., or Orbtronics. Many of the Amazon and Ebay vendors purchase cheap batteries from China, some of which will be knockoffs and counterfeit batteries.

Concerning name brand 26650 batteries, Mooch has bench tested a few and has recommendations.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like buying 26650s from there is a bad idea as there aren't many. However there is a seller on there fulfilled by Amazon that I've used many times that are good. They got the LG 18650 hb4 batteries. The yellow ones. With a couple hundred reviews saying they legit. Everything I got from them was legit in the past. I'd be capped at 75w with those but thing is I've never needed to go that high anyway. This tank I won is an RTA and I was thinking of trying to build (or buy prebuilt) in the future when I got this thing going. I'm not trying to skimp on batteries. It's just I had the extra credited to my Amazon account and figured I'd get batteries and a charger. If not I was just not going to get anything at all. Aren't regulated mods pretty safe? Don't they have short protection and stuff? It says it does.

Yes, you're correct. A regulated mod is going to have protection circuitry which makes it safer than a mechanical mod, generally speaking. It's still a great idea to buy the best batteries that you can as they will allow your regulated mod to perform at the best of its ability.

You're wrong. You can go wrong purchasing mods and especially batteries from Amazon. I've seen too many angry customers report here on the forum that they got swindled.

I was gonna get that little nitecore charger that charges two batteries, and either the Samsung or LG 18650s I think. If someone could actually maybe point me to a good guide it would be helpful. Some of the stuff I'm finding it two years old and I know the tech was a lot different back then. The supplier for 18650s is good. I've bought camera batteries from them previously. What's so dangerous about these batteries I don't get it. I've had some odd batteries for things before but ppl seem to make a huge deal of these. But then I also see its only on unregulated mods so. I'll check out this mooch guy and if anyone has any other links.

The batteries we use have a lot of energy and the chemistry is volatile. And we push the batteries really hard. Can't be compared to regular alkaline batteries in everyday use. As for guides, check Mooch's tests here in the battery forum. It's really important that you get the right batteries.

The reason people say vaping batteries can be dangerous is because they can be dangerous (as in explode) if you are uninformed and don't practice safe battery habits.

When it comes to advanced mass marketed systems like cell phones and laptops and hybrid electric cars, the system designers of those products have taken appropriate steps to make them "safe" for uninformed end-user use. Purely mechanical unregulated ecig battery mods and uninformed end-users is a dicey proposition.

Most consumer battery operated devices are no where near the limit of the batterys operating limits. The high-end flashlights and ecigs and RCtoys come to mind as applications that really push the limits. With the RCtoys the device is physically far removed from the person so a mishap is inconsequential. With ecigs a mishap is literally in the persons face.

An 18650 Lithium-ion battery has the explosive power of an M-80 firecracker, or 1/4 stick of dynamite if it explodes. Not something you want to happen within inches of your face.

I went ahead and ordered the Samsung 25r 18650 batteries for now. This mod I have takes either a 26650 for 100watts or an 18650 using this battery sleeve thing at 75w. If anything feels off or gets hot or the batteries don't look legit I'll just send it all back. I haven't really needed this mod but it's just been sitting there for two months and like I said I just won this Simba tank. It came with a build deck and I was thinking about giving building my own a shot soon.

I know not to leave them on the charger and all, do u guys take me out when u not using?

I don't understand why the 26650 allows more watts than an 18650. A 26650 won't have any more amps than an 18650.

You should remove batteries from the charger when fully charged. You can keep batteries in a mod; not indefinitely but a few weeks is fine.

I got a pair of Samsung 25r that I'm charging now. Checked online and everything looks authentic. These come with a 90 day warranty if anything happens to them at all. This is why I liked them when I previously used them.

One more question, I'm charging them now but will only be using one at a time. Wondering what u guys store them in. I have a battery case but it is too small. I have this tiny little Tupperware thing it will fit in that I've never used for anything cuz it was too small. Was gonna use that. Same material if not better than the battery case actually lol. Only asking cuz I've seen reg batteries do some really weird .... when they left out or get old.

I store my batteries in plastic battery cases. They are very inexpensive, and many online battery vendors include a free case with every pair of batteries you purchase.
