I am very fresh to
rta's and have a total of 2 builds to my name. I've built a 1.4-1.5 ohm with 28g wire and a total of 9 loops.
Keeping loop size the same, using 26g wire with 11-12 loops should be more or less the same ohms but with more clouds.
Am I on the right path?
what kind of
devices are you using?
Steam Engine | free vaping calculators is a good calculator, but like anyone will say, please invest in an ohm reader. they're anywhere from 10-20 bucks and are a great investment.
your assumptions are correct. lower gauge wire means lower resistance, so compensating with more wraps will bring up the resistance. as for clouds and vapor production, there are many variables such as wicking, airflow, chamber size, and a couple million other things.
my advice is to find those variables, i played around with different builds and got into the habit of building, testing, scrapping, rebuilding for practice and learning how to find my preferred setup.
so steam-engine.org, ohm reader, and tinker. don't forget to have fun!
