Hey after a mixup with an ebay vendor, I wound up with 25 ft of Kanthal 27 gauge wire. Have any of you guys ever used this in rebuilding atty's? I typically use 30-32 to get over 1 ohm, but I am thinking of trying to use this.

I have a Vamo and a Sigelei Zmax. I like those guys between 2.0-2.5 ohms
I have a 19e, M16 clone, and Magneto. I like 1.5-1.8 with those. I am willing to go lower, but with 28 gauge, it seems like you have to wrap a good amount just to even get 1 ohm.
With a 1/16" diameter coil I need 8 tuns to get .9ohms. 14 turns to make 1.5ohms. To make 2.5ohms u would need huge coils.
The micro coil would be a good idea to use this with, even though the coils are bigger, they heat up pretty fast because they are actually touching each other
Should of mentioned, all I use are micros.
27 @ 1.25 ohms, needs a couple of seconds prefire to heat up.
