280 or 380 mah...automatic or manual??

I plan on buying a battery at Christmas time. Which 808 do you think I should buy? I hate charging batteries. I have 2 PT's, a joye 510 with a 808 adapter that I use in my studio and a 808 PT. Now I am at the computer alot; I do graphic design work.

How long does a 280mah last approximately for I would say a medium vapor because of the PT's? Going to get one of those usb chargers where you can charge many different kinds of batteries. I need the 808 mostly for when I am in the car.

Auto or manual? What's your preference??

I have a manual and an automatic and I would say go with the manual. Just MHO tho!

I'm an all day, here and there vaper, and it seems like its lasting me all day, depending on when I get up and go to bed of course. I would imagine it would last a heavy vaper half a day or so. I usually switch to the 901 batteries or the PT at night while I charge them so that I have them for the next day. I'd like to try the bigger one though, I bet it'd be awesome.

I dunno that I would say always go manual. I like auto batteries, especially when I am doing something else (like posting on a forum or washing dishes ). But I love the control you get with the manual battery and not having to do a primer puff.

Yeah, unfortunately. LOL I hate doing them too but I'm really picky about the way they get done. I do the cooking, the dishes, the cleaning, the child rearing etc. I'm a regular housewife!!

I did the same thing as you, Joanna. I was just a regular housewife until my kids were in junior high, then I went to work. I wanted to raise my 3 children my way, not someone else's way. It paid off. My 3 children turned out beautiful, smart, and respectful.

A regular housewife is good.

I prefer manuals, as auto batts have been hit and miss for me. As far as I can tell, there are two types of auto batts in how they operate-some are operated by a pressure plate, some are operated by microphones. Both have their downsides as I've found the microphone operated batts are extremely sensitive and will go off at the slightest rustling noise while the pressure switch type often times get stuck, leading to the batt not being able to switch to the "on" position or leading to a very hard draw in order to engage the switch.

I guess this is why I'm sold on manuals. It is a very simple on/off switch, which leads to less problems down the line.

Since alot have gave their opinions, I think I can give mine now.

Yes the auto batts have a switch, a vaccumn switch, like CD said pressure plate.
They are not sensitive, but under the circumstances, they can be problematic.

The last 8 months, I went with auto batts. I myself needed my hands free to multitask.

After switching to the 808, I started with an auto batt. Very nice, eeasy draw.
Well, because of my inexperience of the 808, I did some stupid things.
I flooded the auto batt, not one but two.
Both the switches got stuck.
I went with the manual switch and somehow it doesnt bother me personally.
I do like the difference in operation, and I dont feel limited to my multitasking anymore.
I guess that I got used to it quickly.

My recommendation would be, if you prefer either or, fine.
If you do choose auto, make sure not to flood. Also dont blow into the mouthpiece
with the auto batt connected (dont even ask) It will cause the auto switch to stick.

As for 280 or 380, wow, I have not even used a 380 yet except to test.
Using a 280 gives me the length of time in itself.
The 380 is long, almost like a magical wand. I would have no prob using it,
but is it necessary? Depends if you need the extra time before recharging.
