2nd day Vaping over analogs....loving it! But still miss it a bit

Hi everyone! So this is my second day vaping...and I absolutely think this will be my new life, no more analogs.

I do have a few things I am struggling with, a bit embarassing....but for some reason I am mildly embarassed to vape in public? I live in Montreal, Quebec and there are a lot of smoker's here....at work I always used to go out in the smoker's area and I still do now that I vape....but I am just feeling a little strange.

I suppose that will go away. A few people strike up a convo with me because they're curious which is pretty awesome when they find out what it is all about....maybe I can convert them!

Apart from that I am seemlessly transitioning in to this new life. I have the V3 Ego Spinner...starting with this, I have heard that there are far better models but this one seems fine at this time.

It does crackle and sizzle a bit....but I heard that was just the sound of a new atty...and to be honest I love it! Cracklin' and sizzlin' just makes it better!

Any tips would be appreciated on how to become more confident in my usage around analog smokers would be great. I know it's silly but I guess I am so used to analogs this is a big change. But I don't feel the need to smoke one so that's great!

Welcome!

Far better? Far worse? ...it's all relative. If you enjoy it, that's all that matters. You can feel good knowing that if you ever tire of your setup, that it's not the end of the road.

embarrased - I don't have much experience with that. OWN IT. Just think of all the people you have the potential to reach by being open about it.

In first days it looks strange, but you get used to. Rule of thumb: if you can vape anywhere you wish, no problem, but if people around you like at you as you are smoking cigs, best you do is to smoke anywhere else. Smoking or vaping is our choice, we dont need to force people to accept it.
As far as "lacking something", well, in some time you get used, like after meal cigarrete. Also if you have symptoms of abstinance of cigarretes, dont give up. Worse symptoms fade off in a few days. I got a flu like sensation in first days, some bad days, but it was all off after several days. Now better breath, smell, taste, everything better.

Be very proud of what you are doing. Vaping as opposed to smoking is a no-brainer. You are the smart one for switching and anybody that thinks any different is clueless. It is your duty to vape as publicly as possible and become part of the tidal wave that is sweeping the world. The uptake is slow here in Australia but its gaining momentum every day. Its really quite exiting. The government here is frightened because they know they will lose all of their tax revenue and also have to pay us pensions for much longer. Vape hard mate!!!

On the last 2 weeks, i usually try, unsucessfully, to smoke a analog, every few days. I took 1 month to transition, and until last week, i was every 2-3 days trying one analog. Like kind of mind trying to recompare experience. Every damn time i try to burn some cigarrete i throw it up, i feel it stinks, have no taste and suffocates, plus the smoke volume is much less than vape.

Congrats on quitting the stink-sticks! Take that Spinner and vape around everyone! (Within the limits of where you can vape that is, lol) I proudly pull my MVP or my Astro Mod, any mod for that matter - and vape like a champ outside work. I have a few nice little sub-ohm setup for my mech mods, and love blowing them huge clouds of vapor everywhere! I try to do it so people can see, and have since converted 3 people to e-cigs. I even take a pull sometimes in the breakroom and have a buddy that tries to get me to blow the biggest cloud. I do this when no one else is on lunch though. Vape on

As for missing the analogs, I think we all missed them the first few days of stopping. Don't give up - it only gets better from here! :2cool:

Welcome to our forum.
Two weeks ago today, I bought a eGo starter kit. The clerk assisted me in picking out 2 flavors I liked (could tolerate).

I was on my way to a bar that had banned smoking. Initially, I too felt a little embarrassed to vape in public. Within 3 days, I had found the stinky analogues to be disgusting. I also found I was more at ease vaping at my home office desk and was too lazy to go outside. I guess I accidentally quit - and I'm proud of it!

Like the prior posters said, "Own It". Now, when noticed, I offer to sell them a starter kit for half the price of the local brand name retail vape shop. I sold 3 yesterday!

Oh yea, I smell much better, too!

Hang in there - you can do it!

That is exactly the same situation here in the US. Gresh, you hit the nail on the head. Here, Here!!!

Congratulations! It was very awkward for me to vape in public in the beginning. Now, I'm carrying around a box mod and use it everywhere I go without a thought.

This. Me too. Also, not only will folks notice and ask questions or show interest, but I've noticed quite a few other vapers "in the wild" out in public, and it's always cool when we notice one another sorta like a fellowship haha. I see more and more of us in public these days.

I was a pack-plus a day smoker for 30 years and it took 2 or 3 days of smoking & vaping before I finally realized I didn't need the cigs anymore and vaping could satisfy the nicotine craving without the nasty crap that comes with analogs. Haven't looked back and feeling much better already health wise in the roughly 2 months since I have gone vape only.
