• Need help from former MFS (MyFreedomSmokes) customers

Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

I'd be interested to try this 2 wick idea on my cartos to try and salvage them...but honestly it seems like a bit too much work  Hopefully my new cartos just kick all kinds of ... and I won't need to try anything like that.

well if they solved the wick issue then you will chill, cause this did and these have the extra tight coil and i got them to work perfectly with the extra wick.

Now that they made adjustments im sure it helped but i wanted to play around and see what was the cause and now i know.

Well, if my cartos come in and they're good, I'll ship out packs of the old ones to people to try out. Will probably only be feasible for Canucks since going through customs and using cheaper shipping (since more expensive shipping wouldn't be worth it for a 5 pack) probably wouldn't be any quicker than coming from China. I'm actually surprised Wing got his the day after I shipped it. He's only an hour and a half or so away from me, but I did use the cheapest shipping AND I shipped it after work so I assumed I had missed the cut off for packages to leave that day.

I was surprised as well, Canada post actually did what they are supposed
to:D. Was good for me, got to try them over the weekend instead of waiting till Tuesday.
Once I kill a cartomizer I will salvage the wick for badkolo's mod, good job badkolo. You should be getting reimbursed as a engineering consultant.

All the best, Happy vaping,
Wing.

hey wing, the mod is holding up 100%, im abusing this thing at 3.7, and the vapor is even cooler, it stays wet until there is no more juice in the carto, both are going back to back and i only stop when my lips start to burn and not once did it get that dry taste, while my other bad one on the hello gets it after 7 or 8 drags. so the wicking was the issue all along and its fixable(( im modding the first few revisions and not the newest ones)). form what navathian said the newest ones have the much looser coil and work fine but these older ones just needed an additional source of wicking and it works better then i could have hoped for.

I'd be interested to know if Nav or anyone ever brought up the idea of additional wick slots with MicroCig. If it was just a matter of cutting extra slots and doing an "X" pattern feed system seems like it would have been cheap enough to implement.

On another note, reducing the voltage on these 510's has made all the difference. I'm able to vape these non-stop: NO dry taste and NO waiting for the wick to catch up. I wish I had a 510/401 adapter so I could try it out on these older M-series cartos.

excellent, which should mean the higher ohm ones should perform better at normal 3.7, hoping it will

Nice work on the wicks badkolo! I've been contemplating this one myself just to make the ones I got from Deadguy worthwhile. I'll have to give it go. i should be able to get the full wrap around the coil since I have plenty of dental picks, angled tweezers and such for small electronics.

if you can get it wrapped around like in my pic with the drawing that would be best becuase the way i did it kind of stiffins the draw since its stuffed into that one section, but it works and keeps it extra wet. i was going to try a u shaped sewing needle but the place was closed and you cant fiddle with the wick to much becuase it starts to unravel as you try to get it under the coil, pain in the ....

I just got mine in from vapor junction, but none of my needles fit!!!!!!! I thought I had a 20 gauge left.
Oh well, I need to go to the feed store Monday, but I hate to wait.

A coworker got in some CE2's from vaporjunction and I stole.. I mean borrowed a couple from him.
They are the ones with 3 holes ( 1 center and 1 each side ) couldn't get second plug to come out so I don't know if they have the slits but the coil looks pretty tight.
First impression - whew what a stench, the condoms smelled like uncured silicone rubber and were sealed in foil packs ( I was thinking if these cartos did have filler that would be bad ) I pulled everything apart and let it air out some, then filled with juice ( JC's red oak Marcado is VG but fairly thin ) and let it sit for about 15 min. I then tryed it out and got a chemical taste ( do they use primer on these? ) figured I'd try to puff through it with 3 puffs / wait 5 min / repeat. After 15 or so puffs it still taste bad. I top up the juice and let them sit for over 30 min. Still has a kinda stale/chemical taste on both. I can only take 4 or 5 straight puffs before it starts to get pretty warm.

edit - production date says 20100616

They do smell like acrylic monomer like from the nail shop. I'm hoping that will go away.

ok i did one more just to make sure it works, i even tried the cross method but its impossible to get that wick under the coil and around.

so i made only 1 slit, cut the wick to size and placed it down the side and in the slit and in the side by the coil, works perfectly and this time i have perfect airflow.
