I live down the road from our little post office, and the Postmaster there was telling me (quietly) about how fubared the USPS is. She told me horror stories about Kearny. And gave me a good tip. Whenever possible, Don't use tan packages. Their sacks are all tan, and she says you can't see the packages at the bottoms of the sacks, especially in a dark loading dock, or inside a trailer. She says use white, and put a bright strip of tape around it. She is a 34 year worker, and I trust her.
When we had the mondo blizzard in Feb 13, everyone's mailboxes were buried, so I went to the PO. The truck was out back, and she gave us our mail off the truck. No need for ID, she either knew most of us (about 20) or she trusted us. Nice small town PO, maybe 6 employees?

Having said all this, I ordered some horny juices from MN friday night, and it was delivered today!
