Recently my DIY coils (Evod1)haven't been as good as I know I can do, Tried a new genuine part atomiser - worked OK (ish) for a while and then tailed off. An old Vivi-nova V2 that I know works also didn't do much, so I tried another battery which seems to be OK.

The battery was showing 3.66V under load terminal voltage - which I thought should be OK?

The battery is getting on for 3 years old, but the under load voltage says it shouldn't be causing a problem!

What batteries are you using and what is the resistance of the atomizer?

Batteries are usually good for about 300 charges or so give or take. Should replace every 6 mos to year depending on your usage.

I agree they are generally good for about 200-300 full charge/discharge cycles depending on how hard we are on them. But I rarely let mine get close to fully discharged and I don't push them too hard. I'm using some that are over three years old now and they are still performing quite well.

IMO replacing after a year max isn't necessary. Unless they are worn out ... but that depends on usage only.

I rotate between two batteries using one battery per day. So, in a year, each battery is used so pretty much until it's dead for 180ish days a year. I toss at Christmas time. I do major mod, drip tip, and topper cleaning at Christmas and June 6th (D-Day).

Just a routine that seems to work.
