3.7v protected battery that is AAA size HELP?

I am looking for good 3.7 volt protected batteries that will fit in a AAA size compartment. There seem to be a lot of options out there. I went on Dealextreme but just got lost with all the selections.

VaprLife has protected 10440 (AAA).

Other than ECF member Cisco, only place I've found them protected at that size.

The 10440 li-ion battery is AAA Size, although it doesn't come Protected...there are rumors of protected ones out in the wild...and i think i may have even spotted one on a Website linked to here...But the protected 10440 is an elusive and secretive creature

From my limited reading on the topic cons would be:

Unprotected do not have the smart circuit, and are usually a bit shorter.

Possible that they rupture/vent and rip holes in space/time.

Possible that you leave them in charger and they just keep charging then either drain or again rip holes in space/time.

The difference otherwise is protecteds have a little circuit on them to make them "smart" so they hopefully do not have the above rupture effects. This also makes them a bit longer.

Professional opinions welcomed, but for laymen I hope this covers the idea

My understanding is that the protection keeps them from over/under charging. (by under I mean they shouldn't go all the way to 0 charge), but I am in no means an expert on these.
