I completely disagree. Many new vapers think they need something that looks and feels like an analog. I thought I would need something that looks and feels like an analog. I am lucky enough to have a local vape shop though. So when they handed me an ego t to try, I took it and smiled thinking I will try it then see what else they have, because I was sure I wasn't going to like it. But it was love at first vape. I bought the kit and never looked back. Now, 2 months and 9 days later, I am waiting on the shipment of my first mod. And I am sure that if I had a crappy little cig look alike, I would have given up immediately.

Your brain is tricked by the inhaling and exhaling of smoke looking vapor, not by something that is the size of a cig.

You are right on the mark!! The "inhaled feel" of smoking is a heck of a lot more important than looks. As well as less hassle and more consistency. You just can't get that with a model like the Blu.

What "fact"??? I don't believe that it is a "fact" that better battery models look like a "crack pipe" as you stated. But it is a "fact" that there are easily hundreds of more negative posts on the performance of the Blu in comparison to the few positive posts.
Alright, I will sadly put my tail between my legs and walk away...lol. Since I've been using my ego at work.....everyone says it looks like a crack pipe. Sorry won't argue with vets anymore.

As someone who had been a smoker for 37 years, mostly 2 packs a day, I needed to start out with a cig look alike.

I started with the ePuffer Colibri. It looked and felt like an analog. I could carry it around like a analog all day and hold it in my mouth like an analog, like I was used too. It made quitting ridiculously easy when everything else failed.

I don't think I would have been successful starting out with something like an ego. It just wouldn't have satisfied the habitual part of the smoking routine.

I have, of course, moved up now to bigger and better alternatives, but I will always be grateful to my little buddies that started me off on the great new habit.:2c:

I use clearomizer CE2's and to be honest, they look a bit like I might be smoking some illicit liquid substance. It sort of goes with the territory I feel. Yet, vaping with a "cig look alike" ain't much cooler looking! Johnny Depp's character in the movie, The Tourist uses one, and he is a strange cat in the flick! The look-a-like just helps establish that on film. IMHO

I ordered the BLU premium starter kit 3 months ago and haven't had no taboacco since!
Thanks Blu:)

I believe, maybe, the reason that Blu has such a bad rep is they pedal their original (cheaper) standard starter kits at Walgreens. And, this OP wrote that he got the premium starter kit. Which, is a 100 and has a better (for Blu) battery and PCC with it.

Bottom line, it's working Shark - IF AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!

I'm still using analogs about 1/3 of the time. I'll stop them eventually, I think.

I've never had a Blu battery, but I have some that are quite similar. One thing that Blu has that no one else --- their tobacco carts are sooooo tasty. It isn't tobacco flavour the way we think of them with other juices; it is like a cup of sugared and creamed coffee. I also like that I can find Blu at any Sheetz station so if I run out of juice on the road (sometimes my business trips last longer than I anticipate), I can readily find something to fit a standard 510 connection.

If I were going to try to tempt a friend into coming down the vaping trail, I would probably recommend a Mistic, though. They give a very warm vapor and taste a lot like regular cigarettes. OP was a dip user, so the flavour from a Mistic probably isn't what s/he'd want.

Welcome my friend, I started on BLU as well, but if you have found ECF then you will ditch that BLU real soon. The battery life on BLU is horrible, I suguest you search the forum & ask & try some more comfortable & longer battery life products. I went from BLU to the Janty Neo Classic.

Nope I love my blu, I have a ego now that sux

I am a happy blu user, I don't think I will get along here very well as everyone seems to be blu haters, I also have the ego and hate it. Love the no muss no fuss blu's I won't go to a bigger "better" system.

That's just the ignorance of uneducated people. I think my reply to them would be, "Since you are an expert on "crack", how much crack do you smoke?" I give you thumbs up for vaping your ego openly. I vape my Darwin everywhere. As a group, I've had more sheriff's deputies and police officers ask me where they can get a good PV.

We are glad it works for you. But you are the big exception. For every post like yours, there are 100 negative posts about the performance of the Blu. Most of us know the statistics and the percentages. We recommend models that have a high level of known success, not models that have a low level of success.

As opposed to what? His real life normalcy? His other roles? I love Johnny Depp, but he is a strange cat in everything, real or acting.

Sorry, I didn't mean to attack anyone, I just get rather passionate about vaping. I guess we all do- that's why we are here.

Actually, I'm just saying that cig-look-alikes seem a bit strange to most. I think the eGo bigger units come across better to those that don't know what vaping is.
