Just a short rant.
This morning I was going thru my "new posts" and saw a vendor offering a 3% off sale. 3%, Do the vendors think we are we so hungry for a sale, that they tease us with with a meager 3% off, thinking that this will bring in customers? Not even worth the effort in my opinion. Boy, I can't wait for the 1% sales to start. Boycott, boycott! Let's not get ridiculous here.
Rant over.

Even 10% only just about covers the shipping. A real sale should he a real sale. Some vendors are good about that, others not so much.

That's why i'm more a fan of deals than sales.

I.e. buy 4 bottles of juice, get 2 thrown in for free; spend more than $50, get free shipping and a couple bottles of juice; etc.

You'd think, in this day and age, that manufacturers would have actually got their act together and have their own outlets by now wouldn't you. It's not like even the oldest and most traditional brands don't have the funds to do this.

But no, we will continue to keep on getting middled by the retailers.

I'm sure this planet fell asleep at some point in history.

Sometimes, the law does not allow manufacturers to sell direct.
A good example would be here in Texas, you have to sell vehicles through a dealership (not counting used car private sales).
