3 (or 5) wires for all of your coiling needs

Again, following onto the minimalistic route, what wires would you buy for your coiling needs? Mind you, rebuilding some small rba drop in, or a BB Vapeshell to complex wire for more subohm builds. Range would be 1 ohm to 0.3 ohms. Different materials please! Some fancy quad wire would be nice for some single coil RDAs too!

24 and 26 guage SS and some 36 guage kanthal would take care of all my simple or complex coil builds on that resistance range.

Here, I can truly be minimalist, 30 28 and 26 gauge SS plain wire.

I have exotic-er wires I haven't tried yet, that I really should but those are my go to wires. If I'm not using a premade, in which I can enjoy a little more variety at times.

When I made coils for my RDA's, I used 26 gauge kanthal, 0.6 ohm resistance overall (2X 1.2 ohm). Simple compressed dual coils.

I guess that's pretty boring, but its what worked best for me. I've always believed in the KISS principle. (Keep It Simple, Stupid)

I have many spools of wire that I don't use anymore. All I use anymore is .9mm x .3mm rectangle wire nichrome 80, 26g and 24g SS 316L and 36g SS 316L for claptons. Rectangle wire core claptons have been my go to coils for awhile now.

My go to is 28 or 26, though I have 24 and 22 laying around. If I was into doing Claptons and such then I'd say 32, 28, and 26 or 24 either would be fine.

I don't go for exotic anymore, I honestly can't tell any difference. I've found coil placement and the right power choice makes much more difference in flavor. Now in having said that, everyone is different so to each their own and I do enjoy looking at coil porn every now and then, lol.

That's what I want to avoid, waste. Sometimes I buy coils by the truckload from China to then find I don't like them. So some things are piling up, while others that I like I don't have

I like tri and quad core fc ss 316l for day to day. I get them from AVS, Advanced Vape Supply. I don't know where they ship to outside of the US. Recently tried tri core fc Ni80 from Wotofo and liking them. Hear their quads are good as well. You can also get these multi wires in spools and wrap yourself. Staggered fc I like in a rda. Aliens are pretty sweet too.

I'm pretty simplistic in my coils. SS316L 2mm and 2.5mm 8 to 10 wraps. Sometimes I wind compressed and sometimes I wind spaced coils.

I vaped and subjectively compared their exotic coils with my simple coils and I honestly couldn't tell any difference from a flavor perspective. They were making a lot more vapor with their 0.1 ohm coils than I was with my 0.6 ohm coils, but then I wasn't willing to push my battery that hard, either. (We were all using a single battery mech mod.)

I would need at least five spools: 24 and 26 gauge in kanthal and stainless steel, and one spool of single-core, 26/32 stainless steel clapton.

For me the multi wire coils offer a better lung hit; flavor and hit are more satisfying for me than with single wire builds. Once in awhile I use a single wire and it generally doesn’t last through 5ml. I tell people to try both.

26ga NiChrome 80
28ga NiChrome 80

I could really do it with just 26ga SS/NiChrome 80. But I have a Few RTA that taste Best with 28ga NiChrome 80.
