Tacoma Wa,
HI, I started out with a cheapy cigarette looking e-cig and went from about 25 smokes a day down to 7.
Then i got a couple 510 batteries and some clear carto's and stopped smoking all together.

It's been heaven for 2 1/2 weeks. but now for the past few days I just feel weird sometimes.
blurry eyes and just an all over weird feeling.

Is this something people get from stopping smoking?
I started out with 24mg juice
then went to 18 the second week
I have only used 2 differint companies juice both are a 60vg/40pg mix

I have seen posts about people having problems with PG after a few weeks.. i have to wait till next wednesday to buy s bottle of VG only... I'm hoping it helps.

I don't wanna go back to smoking :(

Welcome to the forum! You'll find ECF to be stuffed with tons of good information along with plenty of good people who are more than willing to help.

I can't offer anything remotely close to medical advice but I have seen a few posts regarding flu like symptoms once you come off of analogs.

With 4000 plus chemicals in cigarettes it's bound to take time for everything to flush out of your system. Personally I've gone though mouth ulcers and sore throat... Hopefully some of the veterans will chime in with more info because all I can really add is to increase your water consumption and go ahead with your switch to VG. Then if things don't get better I'd talk to my physician.

...are ya drinking LOTSSA water...vaping is VERY dehydrating...all that vapor is water vapor and it's coming from you...now that I have said that, there is a high probability you are suffering withdrawal/detox from the thousands of chemicals in funkarettes.............

Madjack is correct! Lots and lots of water while you're vaping. PG is more drying than VG, but they both can dehydrate you fairly quickly. I went through a horrible scratchy sore throat and coughing up yucky stuff during my 2nd/3rd week of 100% vaping and no smoking. I'm not a doctor, but I've been through the analog withdrawal. If you still feel bad in a few days, a quick trip to the doc couldn't hurt. Good luck, and welcome to the always interesting world of vaping! :)

WOW, madjack can you explain this for a newb? I figured the water vapor came from the e-cig somehow, silly me!

Congrats!! 3 weeks for me as well!!! In my second week I had flu like symptoms for a few days but they went away pretty quickly. I also noticed that I was thirstier than usual and a few times I would wake up in the middle of the night with serious dry mouth. I started drinking more water and now this has gone away as well, for the most part.

...the e-cig creates an atomized mist comprised mainly of the glycol/glycerine base of the e-juice...this base(mist) is a humectant which absorbs and holds water(which come from us) and this is what makes those clouds of vapor...so, drink lotssa water!!!!!!!!!!

Tacoma Wa,
I think i figured out my problem!
I felt great all weekend.
But right after i started working today.. i started to feel strange again.
I noticed that my leg had a numb tingley spot.. and realized i had my titans in the case i store them in.
(I don't carry them in my pocket on the weekend)
I wondered if it was that.. so i moved then to the other side.. same thing..then the a back pocket.. one cheek went numb and tingley.

Nothing was leaking .. but my body runs warm alot.. so i am thinking that maybe my body heat was evaporating the ejuice in my Titan-T's?
After i put them in my locker i started to feel better after about an hour.

If you think it's too much nicotine, the problem can be quickly checked and solved by just slowing down on the vaping. If the problem subsides, that may be the answer. The effects of nicotine are somewhat short lived in the body; that's why we crave them so often.

Second, dehydration. I have definite noticed this. Dehydration is one of the things that make you feel so bad the morning after with your hangover. Drinking plenty of water is a must. Glycerin is often used as a moisturizer for skin softening; it causes the skin to absorb moisture and hold on to it. Because it does absorb moisture, you need more water in your body.

Last, if you read here almost every single person will be able to tell you about health issues they noticed when they quit smoking. Almost every response your body has to make to be able to halfway withstand the assault of cigarettes has to change, and change very drastically and very quickly.

Stick with it and I guarantee you an improvement in the way you feel! It's your body, so take charge of the way it feels.

Edit: just noticed...those tanks sometimes leak

I was sort of surprised to hear so many people saying "It's too much nicotine", because I was guessing the exact opposite. He (she?) said he started with 24mg nic, got off the cigs that way, then switched to 18mg nic, and after that, started having issues.

That sounds a lot like a body complaining "Hey, where's my nic!" to me.

If you are vaping near-constantly even 18mg nicotine could cause over-nicced feeling (hazy or yuck feeling, headache, rapid or irregular heartbeat, cold fingers are some symptoms you can get from too much nic). So if you are vaping that much, back it off, Leave the ecigs in another room etc.

And you have to stay hydrated. Vaping can be drying.

Also in extreme cases of over-vaping sweet juices a borderline diabetic might be affected. VG is considered a low grade sweetener as is ethyl maltol I think (used to sweeten many dessert flavors and maybe RY4 tobaccos? but not usually fruit flavors). This is unusual though. The one person I know of with the problem had been vaping cotton candy flavor eliquid all of the time (ethyl maltol is the same thing as cotton candy flavoring)

Tacoma Wa,
I only used cartos and the ones i carry in my case have never leaked..ones at home have..go figure!

I know the feeling of too much nicotine..and that's not the feeling I get if I had the case in my pocket.

I feel perfect right now. I really think i was absorbing the juice through evaporation somehow.

I don't wanna try it again... but i'm sure one day i will forget and end up sticking it in my pocket again.
