To the veterans i'm sure it is not that big a deal but to a person who was chained to analogs for 30 plus years it's a huge milestone for me! Can't believe iv'e made it this far with such an easy transition!
Would have never though it was possible! My counter below is slightly off!
From day 1 started a quit smoking diary for my wife and I taking notes of the transition and things iv'e learned about the experience, equipment, juices, people we have helped convert and the health side! Though it might be kinda neat to look back and say hey you remember when this or that happened!
Thank You ECF for your wealth of knowledge and your unselfish support for the new guys! This community makes a huge dif to the new people and thanks for not forgetting what it was like when you started! Strangers helping strangers! If the whole world worked like that can you imagine what would be possible?

I think you will find out, even the veterans here, love to hear our success stories
and it is a big deal to them.
I am on about the same time frame as you. I too agree, how easy the transition is/was.

I agree, the community is great and I so appreciate everyone's time and effort that they give
so freely to help people, just like you and I.

Congrats!

Congrats and great idea of documenting your liberation. :)
I had the same ease of giving up cigs from day one, smoked over a pack a day for 22 years I was coughing morning, noon & night, within the first two weeks all that coughing had stopped. I know one special thing that I would write down for myself, was when I finally stopped looking around longingly (on the dresser, table outside, shirt pocket) for my pack of cigarettes every 20 to 30 minutes. I can't say when that finally stopped, but thinking about that now gives me such a victorious feeling. Plus I can now go into the convenience store without giving the smokes a glance.
I too have thanked this great forum and members for their help and concern, (for the most part) we are all in the same boat and regardless what e-cig or e-liquid we use, not smoking another cigarette is The Goal.

Congratulations!! You (and your wife) have done an awesome job!

I'm one of those people that feel it doesn't matter how long it's been (a day, a week, a month, etc), a success is a success. Whenever I see someone post something like this (even if it's "Hey! I've not touched an analog in 6 hrs!"), I congratulate them. The reason is, quitting smoking is different for all of us - for some of us just an hour is pure hell. For others, it's not for a few months before they really feel they've hit a milestone.

Personally I think everyone on this forum deserves a "congratulations" because what we have ALL done (even those that are still smoking analogs) is we got off our butts, swallowed our fears and apprehensions, and are DOING something to make our long-term health better. No matter how long it's been, that IS a big deal!

Congratulations ! This is a great forum. We are going through or have been through the same thing. I can't remember seeing a derogatory post towards someone. I can't offer much advice, but I give as much encouragement as I can. I stop regularly at a friends house that has a 3 year old boy who figures I am there just to see him. He like to wrestle and jump on me :) I use to wear out in about 15 minutes or so, but last night I didn't get tired at all. Probably 45 minutes or so of playing with him. I am getting lots of energy back. The benefits of no analogs.

IT IS A VERY BIG DEAL!!!! A Big Congratulations to you! I had tried everything to quit and never succeeded. I would beat myself up every time I would return to smoking. I spent my first few months vaping in absolute amazement that this was really working, finally, something worked after all those years of trying. So yes, we truly get why you're so excited and we celebrate your victory.
