86.5% tax on e-cigs vaporized by lawmakers in Utah committee
at least it failed this time round.

The point I keep making about kids is I wish ecigs had been around when I was a kid starting to smoke. Having said that I am a tiny bit concerned about some accidents that involved kids. One of them sounds like a kid with a mech and the other one was a pocket fire but there aren't enough details to determine how that happened. My advice to parents would be, if you decide to let your kid vape for what ever reason then built in batteries only and he can't vape more watts than his age. A kid doesn't need a 700 horsepower car to drive 2 miles to school and a kid doesn't need a 200 watt mod to stay off cigs. Given those limitations I wuld be okay with most any atomizer and rebuilding. An istick 20 sounds perfect. The kids are the only "leg" they have to stand on, and I quote it because... not really.
If 5000 kids signed the petition and other 300 kids had the time to go and support the bill, why don't these 5300 kids go around the neighborhood telling other kids, how this is a product only adults should use. "Hey Timmy, please don't use and e-cig, you don't even smoke and don´t need it" or something like that. And theeen we don't need to tax it. Specially since taxing stuff don't help anybody but those collecting said taxes.
Good quote:
"I'm not sure it's our obligation as legislators to come in and replace parents with a tax increase" to try to stop underage usage." Rep. Doug Sagers, R-Tooele

Excellent point. So the goal of the tax is to deny poor kids access to e-cigs. The majority of kids who aren't poor can buy anything they want. The tax on cigs hasn't stopped kids from smokin'.
Have I got that right? Just Sayin'
They probably do, but they start the conversation with Have you heard the Good News?, and nobody listens after thatwhy don't these 5300 kids go around the neighborhood telling other kids, how this is a product only adults should use. At least 300 high school students joined him to support the bill, filling the hearing room, overflow rooms and surrounding hallways. They are part of Students Against Electronic Vaping, which collected 5,000 signatures in support.
One e-cigarette can contain as much as 120mg of nicotine which is equal to the amount of nicotine in 100 cigarettes.
LMAO... Because things being more expensive stops people from using them, I can think of a few substances that beg to differ....Comments are disabled for the following video, so you're not gonna be able to correct the misinformation in it:
They already have minimum age for purchase, and extremely high tax for cigarettes. Why the hell aren't they doing this for smoking instead??????
Although I do agree some "Sin Tax" is perfectly fine on cigarettes because of health care costs but people simply don't smoke because it is cheap, they smoke because they are addicted, adding tax will only take food off of tables, with vaping, there is currently no known side effects that burden the government that having a glass of water can't solve, so what's the point of the tax? They say it is to keep it out of the hands of children but who is the tax dollars going to? Is it going to pay for education or something for the kids or is it just a senseless cash grab? They already have minimum age for purchase, and extremely high tax for cigarettes.
One-size-fits-all rules for vaping, smoking, and smokeless are absurd. Different rules for different levels of harm would make a lot more sense.Although I do agree some "Sin Tax" is perfectly fine on cigarettes because of health care costs but people simply don't smoke because it is cheap, they smoke because they are addicted, adding tax will only take food off of tables, with vaping, there is currently no known side effects that burden the government that having a glass of water can't solve, so what's the point of the tax? Kids are more easily addicted to alarmist propaganda than to nicotine.Teens. Always getting into mischief.
If, as ANTZ complain, teens' brains aren't developed enough yet to make wise decisions about their own health, why do they believe they're developed enough to make decisions about very important public health issues? Not old enough to decide for themselves, but old enough to decide for other people, just doesn't cut it.
