306a vs. 306?

I got a Joye306a Super-Mini kit about 4 months ago, and I really like it a lot, but the batteries don't last very long. So I got the Joye510 kit about 2 months ago, which I also like, because the batteries are interchangeable and last longer. The only difference is a longer length and slightly larger diameter on the 501's, which I can live with.

I just recently ordered a replacement battery from Rocky Mountain which was advertised as a "306 battery". What came in has the diameter of the 306a and the length of the 510 battery!!!

Is the 306a different from what people refer to as the 306? I just assumed that they were the same thing.

You just discovered the only difference, I think. Both 306 and 306a have the same diameter (slightly less than 510), and the 306 is the same length as 510, 306a is shorter. The attys are the same for 306 and 306a, the only diff is the battery. Took me a while to get that!

So I guess my next question would be: Which battery lasts longer - 306 or 510?

The 510 lasts longer, but I like the feel of the 306
