I have been smoking off and on for almost 20 years.

I've had my e-cigs (joye510's from cignot) for a little over 31 hours now and so far I have smoked 2 "real" cigarettes just because I had them laying around and they already started to taste nasty.

As a matter of fact, I already had to wash my hooded sweater this morning because I could smell the smoke on it.

I came downstairs this morning and blew vapor in my room mate's face who is a non-smoker and insisted I not smoke in the house, she was shocked when she didn't cough or gag (just to mention, her and I are always playing pranks on each other so I wasn't just being a TOTAL ...).

I can now vape all I want in the house, I can stealth vape in my office at work and in the bathroom.

I let a co-worker who smokes about as much as I do (a pack of Marlboros a day) try it and he was so impressed he called his wife and told her about it and says he's going to order a starter kit tonight.

All in all I am VERY impressed. I'm thinking about getting a larger pen style e-cig for around the house and keeping the smaller ones for "out and about".

I've figured out how to get good hits and while it reminds me more of smoking a pipe than smoking cigarettes I believe it will be a suitable replacement!

You hit the nail in the head, I too have just been vaping for a day and a half and can see the similarities with pipes already:

  • Since (most) PVs are not disposable it is implied that we will care for them, that makes doing things to prepare for vaping (charging batteries, refilling carts, etc) more enjoyable or at least not that much of a chore.
  • There is a technique to vaping just like in pipe smoking; learning how to draw just the right amount of vapor, not overheating the atty, not flooding it or letting it run dry, etc. just like with a pipe you can just puff and not inhale if you wan to just feel the flavor (then again you don't have to)
  • There is an aesthetic part as well. In some mods the looks of the product are part of the appeal. There is also a certain elegance to the hard cases one can use to transport the units, you know, those that look like flat, old-fashioned cigarette cases.
  • and so forth, and so on.

Congrats to ya abaldwin.

I have only been at this a week now myself. It shocked me how easily I made the conversion. The first day I got my Bloog I only smoked 2 real cigs all day(one after each meal) and none at all the second day. Had to go back to real cigs for a full day the third day since I hadn't ordered any extra carts to go with my starter kit. Only had one other cig the rest of the week and that was last night when I left one battery at home charging and ended up killing the other while being out of the house longer than I had planned.

If you buy a 801 starter kit, and some extra attys, from East Mall you won't be sorry. I'm still in love with mine and it's my 1st PV. Pretty colors too! Darn thing just keep going and going... 4-hole low bridge vapor monster. Haven't lost an atty yet. <knock on wood> :) I'm using my 401 or 2-piece VaporKing for "going out" but at home it's mostly my pen style.

I'm seriously considering an 801 for around the house, it seems to be tried and true, plus east to get parts for.

It's day 3 now, and I had one "real" cigarette last night on my way home from work because I wanted to see how "nasty" I would think it was, damn thing nearly made me gag.

Also, I only thought I was getting good throat hits before, but I've refined my technique a bit and now I'm getting throat hits that are just as hard, if not harder than real cigarettes, the last one made me light headed! (I'm smoking 24mg "Marlboro" juice from Cignot).

I also got yet another smoker at work very interested in a starter kit and showed him Cignot's website, he seems really excited about it!

Glad to hear!

I have the same setup and really like it. I don't have the intense dislike for cigarettes that many people have though. I smoke a real one from time to time, but my last pack lasted 2 weeks!

After about 7-8 weeks I don't miss 'em. I've finally gotten used to leaving the house without a pack of smokes and a lighter.

Instead I keep a 510 PCC loaded and ready to go. When I leave the house I bring 1 complete 510 + PCC with 3 carts and battery + 3ml juice. Switching carts is doable while driving. Refilling carts is a big mess while driving.

The bottle of juice is in case I stop and hang out somewhere where I can vape. I now have plenty of parts and will probably stash a couple in my car in case of a long day / night out.
