355,875 analogs later...I switched to vaping. How many did it take for you?

A comment in another thread caused me to 'clackalate' how many analogs I smoked before I made the switch to vaping.

I figure I probably averaged approximately 30 cigs per day for 32.5 years.

30 analogs per day X 365 days per year X 32.5 years = 355,875 analogs smoked

YIKES!!!

That's a hard number to wrap my head around.

I had a difficult time making the switch...took me almost 2 years. I'm wondering if the number of analogs smoked prior to vaping makes it more difficult to switch. I have no opinion at this time, but maybe we'll be able to recognize a trend that could be motivating for some of us.

How about YOU?
How many analogs did YOU consume before making the switch to vaping?
How long did it take YOU to make that switch?

I never sat down and figured out the numbers, but probably pretty close to the same as yours. I smoked a pack and 1/2 a day for 35 years, and a few a day for a few years before that. I did quit for 2 years once, and 1 year a different time, so that would have skewed the figures a bit.

What's hard to wrap my head around is someone, who does not have a gun pointed at their head, using the backwards logic terminology "analog" for cigarette.

BTW ~237,250 cigarettes.

LOL

I tend to agree, TCM...but I'm just goin' with the flow of ECF teminology...weird though it may be. :D

(I also have problems with calling my device 'APV'. I prefer the acronym for 'Personal Electronic Nicotine Inhalation System'...but that never took off for some reason.)

I can't ... possibly ... imagine, for the life of me, ...wonder why not. Maybe it was too small.

a pack and a half a day, sometimes more but seldom less, for 45 years.....comes to a grand total of 492,750 or there-a-bouts

Oh my goodness....

I smoked my last smoke the day I bought my first little nic-stick. That will soon be 3 years ago

LOL I came out with the same number.

I am SO jealous! It took me so LONG to make the switch completely! Even so, you beat me in number of 'coffin nails' consumed. THANK GOD (or whomever) we have a much healthier alternative!

Life is GOOD! Let's get some MORE of it! :)

I guess I'm pretty middling at 281,000 :)

I've actually been avoiding doing this calculation - it was a dark thought that occurred to me when my sig banner announced that I'd skipped 10,000 of 'em.

One of the fortunate ones, too - switched completely within 24 hours, never even thought about having one since.
