Thanks.

And vaping is an addiction. I can see it being so easy to revert back to a favorite nic juice. One of my faves, Torque, isn't sold at 0 nic. Nor is CoolMist or Menthol Ice.

And for me, I don't think I'd want to vape if there was no nic. It'd be too much of a tease, hitting the button, but not getting the effect. I know I'd revert back to 6 or 3. (I know I'll never smoke again, but who knows, I might be vaping for a very long time.)

And I'm open to the possibility that vaping is not good for the respiratory system (Heresy!!!) This is still uncharted territory for the long term effects of inhaled vaporized vg/pg. If my doctor told me no nicotine after 6 months, I would have to stop vaping.

Stay strong Evie! And remember, take it one day at a time and don't stress about things you can not control. As you said, leave it God's hands!

Thanks.

My feelings exactly! ^^^^^^^^. I really do not believe I will vape anymore at 0 mg. It would do nothing for me. Heck, anything under 12 does nothing for me.

I have an early morning work meeting and then another meeting after that meeting. I know we have to be close to a contest soon (the bump kind) so I hope it's not today.

I gave up coffee once for 6 months, I felt great after a week, lots of energy. It was rough for a few days, though, but it's a walk in the park compared to nic withdrawals. Possibly the most unpleasant side affect was constipation. here i sit, broken hearted, tried to poop but only farted.

my boof head opinion is pg/vg is safe, it's the flavourings that are untested. I cringe when people say there are four ingredients in ejuice, nic, pg, vg, and flavours. flavours isn't 1 ingredient, it's like saying dinner is one ingredient, food. If you haven't heard of popcorn lung, google it, it's caused by inhaling a butter flavour.

LMAO! On the first part at least.

The second part has been my concern from when I first started vaping. I actually asked quite a few questions about it and got the typical replies of some people taking it as if I were against vaping. One even told me to just "go back to smoking" Nice, huh?

Seriously freaks me out thinking about it. I believe ALL peeps who quit smoking and go to vaping want a healthier lifestyle and trying to repair damage that has been done, not do more damage. But until further testing is done (and reliable testing), there's no way of telling for sure.

I'm not a poet, but I know a good rhyme when I see one, and steal it.

you have to replace poop with a word that rhymes with sit and means poop.
don't mind me, mods, I'm off to brush my teeth

Give me 48 hours to process all this and form a battle plan and I'll be back to my cheerful self. I keep getting knocked down but I always find my feet somehow, just keep me in your prayers. God has a plan and no matter the outcome I'll get through this with more knowledge and the ability to help others. :)

My best wishes Evie. I know you can work through whatever comes your way. Just stop trying to get your legs behind your head and the excitement should calm down.

It may be time to check out a vendor that lets you order custom juice levels. Several will let you request a custom nic level. This may be a good way to get from 6mg to 0. Take it 1mg at a time for six months.

Caffeine is hard to quit cold turkey. I know several who try it and get massive headaches as one of the side effects. This is a substance you should really ween yourself off gradually. Alcohol is one of the few substances that can be deadly to stop cold turkey. Respiratory arrest, iirc.

It took a while to get into the habit or addiction. Isn't it reasonable to take a while to get out of the habit?

Just as many of us are doing, slowly working our way down the nic ladder. (Not everyone. There are many happily vamping away at 18mg and plan on continuing. And that's great for some people.) I'm just leveling onto 6, still have a bit of 12 and 10 to spike a tank for "those days." (And my 7ml of Prime at 18mg, marked "Open In Case Of Emergencies" that I might keep for a long time, security blanket?)

I wish vendors would address the addiction issue, but I guess they can't as the FDA prohibits them from addressing a "smoke cessation issue". But I think more lower nic level options should be made available. I see some vendors that offer 24, 18 and 12 only.
I'd like to see some 3mg offered. Of course, it's not in their business interests to get you to stop vaping. (just as BT had no interest in getting you to quit) Not to mention the fact that most of us probably have well over $500 of vaping stuff ON HAND.

But my plan was for vaping to be a temporary bridge between smoking and nothing. Family and friends keep asking, "So, when are you going to stop?" Hey, I might never stop. Who knows? I'm so glad I don't smoke anymore.

I'm glad Evie's Dr. is giving her the time to taper off.

Now, if her Dr told her to quit the ecf? Now them's fighting words.
