Tonight I eating lobster and drinkin some vino!
:D

Good for you:thumbs: I's something you have to keep working at. You'll have good times and bad times, but when the bad times pass through, think of the good times.

Next year will be 40 for me. It was a real roller coaster ride, but I'd do it all again.

Wow 40 now that's impressive. It is something you have to work at, every day. My wife and I don't agree on everything all time (sometimes it seems like we don't agree on anything). But at the end of each day I try to remember that we are on the same team.

I'll tell you what I told both of my sons on their wedding day;

1.) Never go to bed angry.

2.) If you're wrong, apologize. If you're right, keep your mouth shut.

:rolleyes::rolleyes: - Wish you had been the father of my DH - someone failed to tell him this very impotant tidbit about having a successful marriage.:lol::lol: :D

Indeed. My dad gave me very similar advice. He and my mom were married for almost 35 years before she passed away.

Sorry to hear about your mom - happened to my DH two years ago and it has been hard on him. My thoughts and prayers are with you! :)

Thanks mamacat. It's been a few years, but I still think about my mom at least once a day. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't get married while she was still around, but I was engaged and she knew I was in good hands

dohsma, That's great! I hope your night is filled with romance. :hubba:
If it's not..you are dead!
It was 33 years in march for us. We have this giant book of imaginary rules my husband likes to quote from.
Number 1 is: Mary gets to make the mess, Mike has to clean it up! (it refers to yard work only)
Number 2" Mike gets a nap and NO ONE bothers him! (no one ever does)
Number 3: Mary gets coffee in the morning or no one lives to see afternoon. (they are all still living)
Number 4: Mike gets Man Food, NOT rabbit food. (his Dr. begs to differ)
So far it's working for us.

Have Fun!

Thanks MaryKay! My night may be filled with romance if I can ever drag myself away from my computer (Still trying to finish up a few work related things)

I am sure that it's nice to know mom gave her stamp of approval. Take JD's advice and you should be all set!! :)

Best wishes to you and I hope many more wonderful anniversaries come your way!
