4.8 volt Nimh question

Has anyone tried these in an 18650 E-power? I'd like a cheap 5 volt PV.

The switch regulates the Epower but under voltage tests fresh off the charger they are around 4.2, When it reaches 3.6 it just won't work... so im wondering if these will work?

i don't have any knowledge about the e-power but i got that battery and it worked great on my diy tuber, it's got a flat top, luckily for me the contact for my unit protrudes a little to touch the contact spot on the battery, that's the thing i'd worry about (the flat top/positive end).

i've never seen a "southeast mass" there was the southshore, the cape, so are you in greater providence or something? just the location just itches me to ask the question (used to live over in worcester before).

right between providence and the cape.... the E-Power has a regulated switch, so that would worry me about using this battery

You can't use them in the 18650 E Power. From what I've read, you will fry the switch if you use anything other than the recommended batteries at 3.7 volts. There is a high voltage switch coming out at some point in the not too distant future as well as a VV model.

We don't carry the 18650 e-power but from what they tell me, above 5 volts input will fry the switch in the current version, they are coming out with a version of the switch that will take a higher input volotage. I think some folks were putting two 16340's or 18350's in them and the switch was frying so suppsedly an update is coming.

I'd be cool with two 16340's if a switch is made to handle it.
