you would have to search through the threads. Awhile back maybe a month or 2 someone asked the same thing and someone else turned up a supplier in Toronto a steel wire company. The min. purchase was I think 80$ for 1foot by 4feet.
the kanthal or nichrome wire I do not think so. They are both easy and very inexpensive to get on E-bay, like 6 to 8$ shipped for about 75 feet.

Really? I used to wander into EfstonScience when I was a kid in the early 80s and lived relatively nearby that place; I loved all the cool sciency stuff they had. I just went to the site though and can't seem to find any heat wire or mesh however.
I'll have to give them a call then. If they have wire mesh and maybe even Kanthal and the prices are reasonable it might be a good place to drop by when I need some in a pinch. Plus, I haven't been inside there in close to 30 years.
