Hey all as the title says just wondering if its OK to use a 420mA charger on a 160mah (joyetech 510) battery? Is it ok for the battery to do so? Or will it just charge faster and be fine? Thanks in advance!
Don't do it Callitkarma67. Those 420mAh chargers come with a specific warning that they will damage a regular 510 joytech battery if they are used with them.
I'd use the original charger you got with the battery - and label them well to avoid confusion.
Awesome thanks, the owner of a local vapeshop hooked me up with an extra charger so it was out of box with no warnings. I do have an ego twist and I will just use it for that then. Thanks!
good way to be like the lady in a few other posts here blowing her battery across the room
those small e-cig sticks need slow charging...a 420mAh will make them get WAY to hot and Li Ion are sealed and pressurized...too much heat + too much pressure = kablooey!

The bottom line is you never put more current into a battery than it's rated output. Putting 420 mA current into a 150 mA cigalike battery never ends well.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I mean that's how it is with any battery, but this other guy (customer) at the shop was charging his cigalike on one of those chargers and I was just thinking to myself "dude, you're insane and are going to burn this place down"
However she was using a straight thru 5vdc USB charger...most modern chargers now have tiny regulators in them to regulate the charging voltage to 4.2vdc

Yeah all my ego chargers are 4.2V / 420 mah output. That's funny though that picture you put in that thread with the strikethru logo haha. And now the vaping community get the bad rep again because of someone who can't follow illustrated (literally) instructions on the device itself. Awesome
