Congrats to you!!! I remember that feeling! I smoked for 27 years and was above 2 packs a day before I found vaping and had tried everything but Chantix to quit! I was convinced I would be one of those people you hear about who removes their oxygen line to smoke. WIth the exception of two weeks and lack of supplies, ended yesterday, I have been smoke free since June!

WELCOME TO vaping!!!!!

This is really somewhat overwhelming - I was one of those that never visioned myself not smoking. The very few times I tried to quit ( and I'm talking hours here not days even ) I thought I was gonna go out of my mind.

Like someone mentioned here - the only thing in my future I could visualize was removing the oxygen line to light up, which reminds me of a true story about myself many years ago. I was in the hospital having a surgery that a lot of people get from driving to much ( won't go into the details ) -- at any rate - of course smoking was completely forbidden in the hospital - well, after the surgery, I was totally stoned and I mean way out there from a very strong IV pain killer narcotic they had me on. I had IV drips and tubes hanging out everywhere - around 2:00 in the morning I couldn't take it anymore - so I went in the bathroom and was smoking away - I got extremely tangled up in all the IV lines and in comes a rather large nurse right in the midst of it - smoke was pooring out - I was tangled up - dang it was the biggest mess and she was livid- I laugh about that now - but at the time, well you get the point ! 8-o

Thanks again everyone !!

Congrats! It will get easier. Honestly though, I was impressed with how easy my 510 made it for me to quit smoking. I smoked a pack or more per day for over 20 years and tried everything under the sun to quit. I bought my 510 and smoked my last analog two days later and haven't looked back since. I have been hit with a couple of urges, but I've found that a couple of hits from my ecig and I am fine. I will say that I vape far more than I smoked though. I can't put the thing down for long at all when I'm sitting at home and in the car... I can't say that I'm spending any less money yet, but I definitely feel better after less than a month.

Keep up the good work!

No a huge ordeal to a lot of you folks, but to me - it's huge. I haven't had an analog in exactly 48 hours from right now  and that's one heck of an accomplishment for me considering it's the longest I've gone in over 20 yrs without one !!!!

I hear ya. I haven’t smoked a cigarette in three days and, wait did I just say that I haven’t smoked a cigarette in three days? Was that me that said that? ME?! I haven’t smoked a cigarette in three days and I haven’t cut off all my hair, I haven’t broken anything, I haven’t ruined relationships with maniacal midnight phone calls. I’m not suicidal or homicidal, I function, I leave the house, I work, shop, do laundry, visit friends, this isn’t a dream, this is real. This is really happening to me. I’m normal. I don’t smoke and I’m normal, I am a NON-SMOKER and I am NORMAL. I almost can’t believe it and I’m beside myself with joy all the time. Congratulations to you and to me and to everyone! And thank you everyone for being here.

I've been struggling for the past 3 weeks because I kept getting faulty atomizers, but now I have a great one, so I've been analog free for 6 hours so far. Keep at it and don't give up. BTW, if you have Windows, look at the task bar at the bottom of your screen and read what it says with the internet open, lol. It says, "48 hours and no ......." ROFL.

Thanks to all of you !

You know the one thing I've thought a lot about this past few days is all the great support everyone gets here. It helps in a big kind of way. I guess because I would think that 99% of everyone here has been in the same situation at some point, and those that have completely understand !

My wife of 30 years is really proud of me, but I honestly can't say that she truly understands because she's never been a smoker. She puffed a little in college and always says she used to smoke. In my opinion she was never a smoker.

The one thing I really wish was that I had this 20, no 40 years ago. Back when I started smoking around 40 years ago -sure smoking was discouraged but it didn't make you a social outcast the way it is now. They knew that smoking wasn't good for you - BUT they had no idea how bad it really was for you. Back then myself and most of the crowd I hung out with smoked because it was the cool thing to do. By the time I realized it really wasn't cool - I was hooked bad. I do think that some people have a more additive personality or traits than others - I know I do. Had I quit years ago instead of days ago -I'm sure my quality of life would be 10 times better than it is now. I really am looking forward to even slight changes to the way I feel !

Once again - thanks to all of you !! and congratulations to all of you as well !!!

Good job and keep it up. I can concur with all the fine folks here. It does get easier. (Can't believe that's even possible!)

As far as the support group here, you won't find a better one that's for sure. When I first started vaping, I under estimated how many cartomizers I would need and tried to order juice around all the Christmas package mailing frenzy. I thought I was going to have to go back to smokes and posted a thread about my demise and the HUGE outpouring of support was more than I expected. My heart still feels fuzzy just thinking about it. These people are so great. Regardless of what we stand for or where we come from, we all have one common goal. That's staying smoke free and to Keep on Vapin'!

And I completely understand that - I thought the day I got the first e-cig - it would be all downhill - of course - the 1st thing I bought was a piece of garbage kit that I spent around $135 on - I was very discouraged and almost gave up that same day - then I started researching and reading ( something I should have done in the first place ) -- I got a better PO ( screwdrivers ) and that helped a lot - then over the weekend I just ordered the Xhaler 5V setup - it should be here within a couple of days - I feel like I have the hardest part behind me already, but I'm making no promises to anyone - not even myself - I'm just doing this thing one day at a time. If I do slip - I'll 100% admit it. We're only human !
