I read about this on a couple of mobile tech sites. I'm excited to see how it is implemented in other areas, but I hope they really push for the chemistry R&D of it, as opposed to the current hardware/software requirement of the newer Snapdragon processors. QuickCharge 2.0 works well, but has me questioning the life of a small battery.Just read about a new battery technology. Normally, fast charging a battery reduces it's discharge time and life. But a new chemistry might change that. They have charged a 3,000 mAh bat to 50% in just 5 minutes. (of course, the last half prolly takes 3 times longer, but still...)
My iStick 50w with a 4,400 mAh bat takes 4 to 6 hours.
