WoW! Your cooking a great Easter dinner. I would love to do lamb but I never can cook it right :(. I'd love to do one on a rotisserie on the grill but I'm not that adventurous. Having boring ham which I have to go get today with everything thing else. I'm tired thinkin about it

Morning peeps

This is a butterflied leg-o-lamb. Marinate it up for 4 to 8 hours, then an easy grill. Hot sear for a few minutes on both sides, then turn down to medium.

One of the reasons we are not going to my family's place and I'm having the wife's family to my place is the boring ham.

I hear ya. Ham is boring. I'm gonna try makin this lamb maybe this summer and practice for next Easter. Soooo.......I'm gonna bug you for help/recipe for the marinade. ;) I love lamb when cooked right but not all people like the "gamey" taste of it so I could do a small ham AND lamb next yr! :thumb:

My grandpa used to cook lamb every Easter on the rotisserie thing on the grill and would cook it for hours. It was the BEST lamb I've ever had. But I'm not sure if it was a leg or what.

Girl, the right cut of ham and smear it in brown sugar. Put it in the crock pot and it is melt in your mouth perfect, nothing boring about it

I finally did my 36hr sous-vide Pork Belly. I use a ginger-heavy sorta-eel-sauce marinade. Chilled it when I took it out this morning for a few hours, cubed it up and fried it in the deep fryer.

I gotta figure out what marinade I'm gonna use for the lamb leg for Easter. Probably apple-sage, then in the oven for about 90-100 minutes (only just over 5lbs). Some ricotta cookies with a coconut-stout glaze, and if they get some in that isn't frozen, a carrot-hazelnut rabbit stew for brunch.

Also just realized I'm out of juice, need to either order some or go pick up the overpriced stuff at the local store.

Day 47

Good Friday. Lent is over, now comes the time to choose my path.

Sobriety has enlightened me to the type of person I was, forced me to confront my demons, enabled me to enhance my relationships with my family, friends, coworkers, and even complete strangers. Overall I am healthier, mentally and physically and spiritually. Obviously this is the best choice take, there can be no counter argument that holds up to any scrutiny. Being forced to acknowledge one's own shortcomings allows the ability to grow and build upon a strong moral center. Rife with satisfying friendships and healthy outlooks along the way to becoming a proud and productive member of society.

It is certainly something I should consider going forward...
