A mere 22 months ago I started vaping. Six weeks later I wasn't a smoker any more. Sure I feel better, sleep better, get more done in life and work. Isn't that swell? But I mark the occaision because in that time I haven't spent FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS on cigarettes. Not chump change. Read and weep Mr. Big Government tax collector.

I was paying $60 for a carton a week, $3,000 a year. (DIY is $30 a year.) I believe the money saved compares in importantance to the reduced physical stress. If a billion people stopped spending $1 trillion a year on tobacco it would be the mother of all tax cuts.

Here in Dubai ciggs cost 3-4$ , and i was smoking 1-2 packs a day.

now since i started vaping i must have spent way over 5k usd on liquids and gear, In dubai we pay 20-30$ usd for premium liquid.

Very interesting, thanks for the report. It sounds like they would prefer you smoke instead of vape? Liquid can be expensive in the US if you allow that. Is there anyway you can get nic concentrate? My 7 ml per day costs 8 cents.

When I started this thread I wasnt looking for praise so much as wanting to raise the issue. The last time I looked I think the least expensive quality cigarettes in the world is in Cambodia, $10 a carton. Vaping can be even less expensive than that if you mix and rebuild and don't buy vape toys.

When I started vaping I was certain I'd never rebuild or mix. Today if you offered me any coil heads and pre mix I wanted free and unlimited for personal use I'd decline them.

Ive spent less then half of that in a 5~ year journey.

Just within a 100mile radius of my house, price of a pack ranges from 6$ to 18$... with the standard of usualy 10-12$

I would have spent any amount of $$ to quit smoking, at the time I was pretty committed to doing that. So I never added up what vaping cost me the 1st two years..

Meanwhile, I can buy 2 acres of land adjoining mine, which borders the national forest, from my neighbor for $5,000.

I have always been very conscious of "what x amount of $$ can buy", and now I do keep track.

Now that I've quit smoking, I don't spend money on "stuff" because I'd rather have something I can turn into $$ someday if I need it. Right now I am just enjoying my acreage.

A pack of cigarettes is ~$12 in NY. And I smoked a pack and a half. That was an expensive habit.
