Hi guys so I been using the .5 crown coil when my .25 went bad so I installed this .5 on the 6th I'm on my 11th 4ml tank vaping it at mostly 50 watts. Since the first tank I been getting some dry/burnt hits but mostly good flavorful hits. What gives? Strange!! My .25 was consistently solid hit after hit until it went bad. This .5 right off the bat I had bad hits, all eleven tanks have had some dry/burnt hits! Thanks for any tips!

lower the wattage; especially if chain vaping.

I will change it I think. But it's strange it's only about id say five to ten hits a tank I'm getting it. The other ones were perfect. But I'm definitely more of a .25 coil type of guy!

So basically no matter the ohm coil you enjoy your vape @ 50 watts with the same brand / flavor / pg/vg juice ?

I vape my .5 coil around 40 watts. My first one lasted 28 days without a single dry hit. I noticed right at the end the flavor was changing so I just changed the coil. It might have lasted even longer tho. I guess you had an iffy coil. I feel bad for the people who have had issues with their coils. I am so happy with this tank I have barely even been building much lately.

One or both of these.

A. The cotton is crammed too tight in the coils

B. Back off on your wattage

On a .5 ohm the recommended wattage is 15 to 60 watts. Most coils do require some break in period. Make sure your coils are primed by dripping a few drops onto the cotton, then once you fill the tank, take a few primer puffs,(closed airflow and suck without firing). Start low around 20 watts and then gradually increase your wattage to find your sweet spot. I usually vape around 30 -35 watts comfortably on a .5 ohm coil and only raise it up higher as the coil gets older. Once the cotton gets burnt it stops wicking properly and you need to replace it. Burnt doesn't always mean black, and it may be burnt in an area you can't see.

Inconsistency with the crown coils is why I stopped using it. I always used the .25, and some would work just fine for weeks on end. Others would burn after 5 hits. Literally nothing changed between any of them, such as how I primed them, the mod, the wattage. I think it's just poor QC on Uwells part.
@Woraug they have been pretty consistent up to this last one. What tank are u using now?
