Red Cow... Clove... Doc Pepper... Mountain Do.. RY4

The Good: I ordered a 5 pack of cartomizers, thinking they were 510 cartos.. I asked a question in the comments area of my order making sure they were 510's... Mark from V4L gave me a call while he was filling my order and let me know they were not 510's. He then offered to upgrade that item to a 30ml bottle of my choice, which was a few dollars difference in my favor. Coolness... Fast shipping. So moral here... custy service is 100%

Ive had my order for ~24hrs now... I ran through each flavor within 2hrs of tearing into the package... blowing out atty and a bit of dry burning in between flavors to clear out the last taste.... of the 5:

Clear winner goes to

Red Cow VG....

The Not So Good: Of the 5, I like 2... Red Cow and Doc Pepper...
The Red Cow is pretty spot on, even has that overly citric bite that red bull has.

The Doc Pepper, not exactly doctor pepper, i taste too much spice in this and not enough sweet... it IS good, but not spot on dr.p

The Mountain Do.. I dont want to be negative, I understand "taste" is relative and situational... but this is bad "for me". I got maybe 3-4 vapes on this before i vowed to not do that again and go brush my teeth... the smell and taste reminds me of the cheap perfume that comes in those lil glass tubes at the indian gas stations. your results may vary, and i hope they do. This however shall not see another round through any of my atty's.

Clove: way too light on the clove, not bad but not great.

RY4: Caramel in this smells and taste burnt, like when you try to caramelize sugar and.. well burn it. The tobacco taste in this is... on par with the caramel.. it taste like a wet ash tray smells... When i spoke to mark on the phone about the 510 carto's... i asked him what brand the RY4 is.. he said is was from Dekang. (side note, the bottle does not look the same as my 30ml bottle of RY4 from madvapes... the color is about the same however.)

Again i reiterate, taste is relative, subjective, and situational... for me these are not playing well with MY taste buds, and im on the fence with ordering anymore from V4L.. Customer service and shipping are fantastic. If there is a positive to this, they were 5ml bottles (minus the RY4) and IIRC were around 3$ each.. soooo it is relatively cheap to give a second chance.

Always look around ECF before ordering flavors...the Mount Doo is most commonly called Mount Poo on here. There's a VERY distinct chemical/lemon Pledge taste to those.

V4L makes GREAT looking kits, their blank carto's are WONDERFUL, but I've YET to find a V4L juice that's vapable for longer than 5 or 6 hits. They're either way too harsh, or taste like perfume.

That being said, you could always order the Premium blank carto's and fill them yourself.

Good luck and sorry you've had a bad experience..it gets better!! :)

I also tried V4L clove, Ry4, red cow and two other flavors...and found the flavors to be disappointing. I ended up getting some flavoring and sweetener from the Perfumer's Apprentice and was able to liven up the juices i got. I used a maple flavor and a brown sugar flavor to improve the Ry4 and used straight clove for the clove (duh) and now I am super happy with the juices.

I don't know that I would buy from V4L again, just because to me it's a hassle having to order flavorings to make juice taste like I felt it should have tasted from the beginning.

After my V4L experience I have gotten more into the DIY aspect of vaping though, and as you mentioned, taste is subjective so I am confident that DImYself is a great way to go.

Even though inexpensive, for the $20 it cost me to get the juices from V4L and the $10 to get the extra flavorings and sweetener, it is just as easy (and faster) to get unflavored nic juice and the flavorings of my choice, plus I have a bunch more liquid for $30...

just my :2c:
