Velvet Cloud Vapor is located in San Francisco, and makes 100% vg liquids. Two things I liked about them unrelated to the liquids themselves are the fast and friendly responses I got from their email support, and that they're available in local stores near me.

All these were bought locally, so not sure how long they steeped but it was probably plently long. They also steeped for a few days in my cupboard.

I'm giving my opinions of the flavors as well as my finacee's opinion, which is based only on the smell of the second hand vapor.

I'm not applying number ratings to anything because that doesn't mean anything really.

Most produced pretty thick vapor, but one interesting thing I noticed is that the vapor itself seemed very 'whispy' instead of 'cloudy'.

I didn't experience much throat hit on any of these, which is a big positive for me personally, but your mileage may vary. All at 12mg nicotine.

All tested in Kanger Evod at 1.8 ohms on a regular ego battery.

Harvest Berry

This has a familiar flavor that I can't put my finger on- a little bit like crunch berries (as in captain crunch cereal) except more natural, like an actual fruit and not a cereal. It's good, but my least favorite of their flavors that I tried. It tastes very much like what it claims to be - a mix of berries. It's sweet but not in an artificial way.

What does the liquid smell like? Berries!

What does the second hand vapor smell like? Cotton Candy.

Vanilla Custard

I'm on a search for a vanilla e liquid that tastes good to me. Like all the VCV flavors I tried, this does a good job of tasting true to what it says on the label. It's a vanilla, but you definitely taste the custard. I was disappointed by that- it's not really a vanilla ice cream flavor, it tastes very much like a vanilla pudding or custard. Very light taste. I've been mixing this into other things (like the VCV Vanilla tobacco) and like it better that way than on its own.

What does the liquid smell like? Pudding.

What does the second hand vapor smell like? Pudding.

Caramel Swirl

Out of all the VCV flavors this is the one that tasted the least like the name on the label. It tasted less like Caramel and more like Maple Syrup. Again, this is probably better for mixing with other flavors, unless you like syrup in which case it will be perfect for you.

What does the liquid smell like? Maple syrup.

What does the second hand vapor smell like? Fiancee immediately said 'smells like maple syrup!' - so same as it tastes.

Vanilla tobacco

This was an interesting one. Only the slightest hint of 'vanilla', but a strong tobacco flavor. I was reluctant to vape it after smelling the bottle, because the liquid has a very bitter smell to it. However, turns out it's one of my favorites- of any 'tobacco' type e-liquid i've tried, this is the most satisfying and realistic tobacco flavor. It doesn't really taste like a cigarette tobacco, more of a pipe tobacco- very smooth. I like it on its own as well mixed with the Caramel or Vanilla above. I would recommend this if you're looking for a very realistic tobacco flavor.

What does the liquid smell like? Very bitter tobacco.

What does the second hand vapor smell like? Pipe tobacco

Peach Tea

I also liked this one quite a bit - I could be happy for a few weeks with just this and the vanilla tobacco in my rotation. The peach is subtle, and it's not very sweet. It really tastes like green tea with a bit of peach. The vapor is more 'dry' than 'moist'. The tea flavor is very realistic. Imagine a more 'organic' tasting Snapple Peach Green Tea, with a lot less sugar.

What does the liquid smell like? Green tea

What does the second hand vapor smell like? Green Tea

Thanks a lot for this review! I don't read reviews very often anymore, so maybe it's more common now, but I really appreciate that you included the second-hand smell that the vapor produces. This, alone, has been a deal breaker with some juices that I've bought. I'm going to try the green tea, and would likely have tried the caramel, but I can't stand maple syrup:p! So thanks, again!

Glad it was useful to you!

About the taste- I'd like to add all those flavors had steeped at least two weeks ('pre-steeped' by the shelves of a local store.) I've now tried some more from the VCV line, both direct mail order and from the shop.

At only day old (same day shipping!) the tobacco-y flavors have a much more 'floral' smell and taste to them. I'll know in a week or so, but my guess is that how long you steep them will impact the flavor quite a bit. I've also tried 'maple mountain breakfast' - which includes syrup in the description- and it tastes like lightly cinnamon'd french toast with syrup to me, but in a different way than the sugary syrup taste of the caramel. Given that, I'm also guessing that sampling the caramel swirl flavor at different times between production and steeping might get you different flavors.

i have a lot of hit and miss experience with VCV

to me, the peach tea was one of the weakest attempts at peach tea i've tried (best going to Ben Johnson's awesome sauce)... way too floral and perfumey for my taste

interesting that caramel swirl tasted more like maple syrup... maybe i'll give it atry after the disaster that was Maple Mountain Breakfast

that being said, i'm a huge fan of Monkey Business, Mewlew's and Candy Bar... some of their other juices i've found respond really well to a bit of sweetener added and steeped for a week or so... i just wish these had more throat hit
