Well to answer the question no, it doesn't burn, nasal vaping my nose got a bit dry that was all.

I wouldn't do it outside the house though,:lol::lol:, I'm afraid I'd get arrested. TBH it's not my favorite way to vape, either.

Anna

I think it burns some people, but it's not due to heat but rather to the nicotine.

Last winter I got that pneumonia (remember?) Anyway I tried to the mouth to nose thing and it just didn't work for me, I did get a burning sensation in my nostrils.

I ended up just putting drops of ejuice on my tongue..

Just for everyone's information you don't use your nose to vape unless your mouth is broken.. I'm fairly sure I could figure out how to inhale through my mouth even if my jaw was wired shut.. lol..

The whole point of using your nose wasn't using your nose to inhale into your lungs..

The point of the nose thing was to avoid your lungs altogether when your sick - aka, with pneumonia, bronchitis, or a chest cold that makes it impossible to inhale into the lungs.

The technique involves taking vapor into your mouth and expelling that vapor through your nose without ever taking it into your lungs. That allows the membranes in your mouth and sinuses to absorb the nicotine in your body without involving your lungs in the process.

No one inhales vapor through their nose and draws it into their lungs because they have a chest cold.

Broken mouth is a different story and I can't imagine the level of broken it would take to get someone to attempt drawing vapor through their nostril..(although Anna seems to know)

but the fact someone in this thread has now stuck their drip tip up their nose to vape because some guy gave 5 tips including things like keep hydrated and your drip tip xtra clean is utterly and completely hilarious when never once was such a thing suggested - menthol flavored ejuice was. .

Comedic relief of the day... lol.

Wanna see my play a recorder with my nose? I could do harmonies.

I wouldn't hold my finger over one nostril, I would use 2 mods and mix flavors.

I think the only time this would be necessary would be after oral surgery when they tell you to avoid pressure in your mouth. No drinking through straws, no smoking, no sucking action of any kind. I had a friend that smoked real cigarettes through his nose for this same reason 20 years ago or so when he had his wisdom teeth removed. He wanted to smoke but didn't want the pain of a dry socket either.

I think you're safe with some of the modern very open DTL vapes.
I smoked through extractions. The ones I had in October I tried explaining how open the tanks were, she still said no, I did it anyway. I also drank from my straw water bottle, I just opened the cap so it had very little pressure.

Maybe, but if you MTL, it could be a problem.

Definitely. I was cleaning my cigar box of old tanks. Even a gennie I had opened to about 1/8" hole was a tight draw.

I had a tooth go bad under a crown and an abscess on the other side a week later. My problem was I like a negative pressure in my mouth. I kept catching myself sucking to swallow spit.

I also smoked after a tooth extraction without any issues. I've also had two extractions since I've been vaping. I use a restricted lung hit, took it easy and had no issues with that either. I'm sure if someone creates significant vacuum in their mouth it would be bad, but you don't have to do that.

I've always vaped through chest colds, it's never been a problem and almost seems to help. I don't use much nic though and sometimes vape no-nic. Smoking was way rougher and lengthens the cold.

I think what I did with cigarettes was poke extra holes in the filter.
Last year was my first since vaping. The tightest of what I have (SubTank) can be vaped with no more pressure than mouth breathing. What I have now is even less.

I really wanted to show the nurse by blowing in the air hole while firing it but was nice.

A MTL vape would definitely be a problem. My oral surgeon told me I could vape, actually, if I had my dentures in, to protect the implants.

I was not willing to do it as they were costing me like 15K and I was like, "If something bad happens, well, I'll be damned if it's MY fault. LOL, a MTL vape does produce enough suction to be a problem, I'd say DL one might get away with it.

I SMOKED nasally after I had ALL my extractions about a decade ago. My husband made me a "nose smoking drill" and it worked out, well as great as I can remember, everything was a bit hazy back then for quite a while. Head swelled up like a pumpkin. But, no dry sockets!

I'm all creative like that, that was the first question I asked my oral surgeon when he said "No smoking... or nicotine lozenges or GUM well obviously. I hate the patch. He was bemused but also like, "That is better than you proposed alternative."

So he took a drill and some weird attachment on it (he may have made it, I'm not sure but he's not around to ask, and I would have to) and somehow used the spinning part to attach to whatever that tool is that blows, oh right an air compressor. Then there was some attachment that you put the cigarette into and it shot air THROUGH where the cigarette filter was so that I didn't have to try to "inhale" with my nose with the cigarette, the air was already being pushed so all I had to do was kinda position my nose right. LOL.

He tried a gravity method, but that did not work well. I'd have to ask if you want more than vague ,strange memories about it, and I WILL ask and return with better answers. But, it definitely had something to do with an air compressor, a drill, and some odd attachment on the end.

It WORKED, I was getting more "smoke" per inhale than I usually did back then.

All I really know it was so comforting to limp out to the garage and "smoke". I WAS NOT about to get 24 dry sprockets, but when you are a smoker AND have had 24 extractions and BONE shaving (my teeth were crazy deep seated and my jaws were "bumpy" not so good for dentures, well, when you have all that going on, smoking is VITAL. LOL.

Next time I see the husband, I'll ask how it worked exactly. That's about all I remember though. LOL.

Thanks. I think I have the general idea. He was using the air to blow past the filer of the cigarette to act as the suction and push the smoke up to you, instead of needing to suck on it. That must have been interesting to watch.
