A big thank you to Hoogie and Madvapes for this mod idea all starting from a Freebee project box and one battery. Well that Freebee turned around and made me buy two more boxes and 5 more batteries. And thanks for getting those batteries back in stock Hoogie. You Rock Man. :toast:

I will be doing a how to in Madvapes how to page soon with a complete parts list.
Here is a Picture under the hood.

It`s also posted in the Battery Mod section here

Please be sure to read post #6 and on. These batteries seem to be a bad idea at 5 volts.

Very nice! I like the size. How long do those batteries last though?

Hi Dudeman,
I`m going to get this a full course run on Sunday so we will find out just around how long the batteries actually last. Right now the JB weld is hardening.

I`m estimating around 3 1/2 hours. I vape 2 to 2 1/2 ml a day. Take approximately 4 second on a average hit and will try to keep count on that for this test run on battery life for a total add up of vapping time.

I know I`ve asked this in the modders forum on those running 10440`s in 5 volt mods and I think once with these batteries as well. They said around 3 to 3 and 1/2 hours I believe.

Ok this Test run on the Mini 5 Volt Using the 14250 batteries has been completed.

I started the test at 10:48PM and it ran till the batteries stopped at 1:45 AM
So 3 Hours of 4 seconds vapping burst and a good nic buzz.

That`s 3 minutes and 42 seconds of constant vape or 57 hits of 4 second hit coming out around the total over 3 hours.

Or my math could be off some. But that`s enough and as expected from the size of these batteries.

Now did I notice anything strange you ask?

Why yes I did. And funny you would ask.
But at the end of a 4 second hit I noticed the mod seemed perhaps warm. Thought it could be the regulator or even my hands causing it.

I removed the cover and all seemed normal so I took another 4 sec vape with my finger resting on the batteries. Right at the end they seem to warm up slightly. Nothing big and almost un-noticed.
Now I was hitting it rather fast running this test or I wouldn`t have noticed this perhaps..

I just did this same test on my Nico Drip running 5 Volts using 14500 batteries and they do not show any sign of warming up.

So any input on this being a safety hazard? Or will this just really be hard on the batteries and shorten their life?
