Hi all, was just wondering if anyone has used 50/50 pg/vg in a Pheonix bottom coil. Was just about to order a multipack in 50/50 and read that someone had 50/50 and it was too thick for their Pheonix. Is this the norm and I better go a different route? Would 70pg/30vg be ok? My wife and I have only used 90pg/10vg but my wife is having harshness issues so hasnt been able to put the analogs down. I just didnt want to potentially waste the purchase (for her) if 70/30 was still a bit harsh, but now Im worried 50/50 isnt going to mate well with our Pheonix cartos. Any input is appreciated.

I use 70/30 in mine just fine. If the 50/50 is too thick to wick well you can add a little distilled water to thin it without affecting taste. Just add a drop at a time, it doesn't take much, and shake until it's working right for you. :)
I did have some 50/50 that I used last month witout any problems.

My wife is using 100% VG from AVE and it wicks fine. However I have noticed I need to leave a little room in the carto for air or in wicks poorly for the first few toots. So I fill hers about .1ml less.

Interesting. I filled one with Gorilla juice (100% VG) from AV and keep getting a lot of dry hits. I will have to try your trick. Thanks!

I have used from 70/30 to 100%VG with no issues. Never had to thin anything yet. I am on my second tank of Malty from Backwoods Brew and it is working fine. That juice in particular is very thick.
Now the top coils are another story. I actually threw 3 of them in the trash after nothing but dry hits and leakage issues with the two I tried. Every top coil I have tried, I have been disappointed. I'll stick with the bottom coils for now.

Thanks everyone for all the input! We ended up going with 70/30. Since my original post I've come to a conclusion that we're really just gonna have to try different options til we find what works best for us. Not to take away from you all of course, great info ill keep in mind and refer back to.
