juul has given me redemption and saved my life. I can think of so many more reasons, but I want to hear yours. Thank you, God and Pax for this miracle.

  1. I am going to live longer.
  2. I can breathe easier.
  3. No more hacking session every morning.
  4. I don't stink.
  5. My car doesn't stink and there aren't ashes all over the place.
  6. I don't litter cigarette butts in my yard and everywhere I go.
  7. I don't have to freeze or sweat my ... off to go out and smoke.
  8. I don't have to drive with the windows down when it's raining.
  9. I don't hate myself nearly as much.
  10. I exercise now, I don't see it as a god awful experience.
  11. I want to be active and play sports with my kids.
  12. My daily trip to the gas station has been replaced by a weekly trip to the vape shop.
  13. Cigarettes were costing me $50 a week. Juul packs cost me $20. That's over $1500.00 a year.
  14. Don't have wrappers, foils, and empty packs in my car.
  15. I can re-wear a shirt without having to wash it because of the stench.
  16. I can smell and taste better.
  17. I don't feel as warn out.
  18. I don't have to get up from my desk and stop working repeatedly throughout the day. Probably an hour or more of productivity per workday.
  19. I don't have to get dirty looks from people walking through my cloud of smoke.
  20. I don't have to hide it from my kids.
  21. I don't feel shame so much.
  22. I don't have to come up with reasons to leave the house so I can get a smoke.
  23. I spend more time with my family.
  24. I enjoy special moments more because I am not thinking in the back of my head when I can sneak the next cigarette.
  25. I waste less gas, driving about aimlessly, so I can get in one more cig.
  26. I don't get sick as much and when I do its not so bad.
  27. All that crap I cough out of my lungs.
  28. I don't feel like I am letting everyone down.
  29. I don't have the anxiety of knowing one day I have to quit.
  30. Less chance of contracting various cancers.
  31. Less chance of COPD/emphysema and spending my final years attached to an oxygen canister.
  32. Less eye irritation.
  33. Healthier skin and better complexion.
  34. No more random chest pains.
  35. Way less headaches.
  36. I can sing better.
  37. No more constant need to clear my throat.
  38. No more chest rattles on a deep breathe.
  39. Better example for my kids.
  40. I don't have to hear my wife's complaints about the smell or killing myself.
  41. I can kiss my wife without fear of her smelling me and the shame it brings.
  42. Better boners and more desirous of sex.
  43. I have lost weight.
  44. My clothes aren't getting burn holes.
  45. I won't be starting any fires with my Juul.
  46. It tastes a lot better than nasty ... smoke.
  47. Teeth and fingers not stained.
  48. No worries about the effects of second and third hand smoke on my family and others.
  49. I am not supporting the most evil industry out there, and I don't have to pay anymore than my fair share of taxes.
  50. I am generally, freer, happier, more self confident, and optimistic.

1. I don't "know" that I'll "live longer" but barring unforeseen circumstances, I shouldn't have to die of COPD. That is not a pleasant death, based on my short foray down that particular rabbit hole.
2. Vaping is catching.... my husband is now vaping and I've given away a few more starter kits to interested folks.
3. I am no longer paying the government daily for my addiction, which I don't believe was entirely my fault, tobacco makers do everything possible to ensure that cigarettes are very, very addictive. With an e-cig, my delivery of nicotine is done by ME and me only (I DIY) so I choose what is in my vape, unlike cigarettes who don't disclose their ingredient list. Unsurprisingly.
4. Wrinkles are getting less all the time. Perhaps I am moving backward in time but regardless I like it.
5. Not bothering everyone around me with my cigarette smoke.
6. Friends and family don't have to worry about my imminent death. Yeah, I still don't know when it's going to happen, but I'm not coughing up a lung in front of my husband or son all the time.
7. My son is proud I started vaping, he wanted me to quit for the longest time!
8. I can go longer without vaping than smoking. It feels like less of a ball and chain.
9. Vaping has a lot of variety. Smoking, not so much. I can vary flavors, equipment and builds to have fun.
10. No more buying new clothes all the time from burning holes in them.
11. Vaping is enjoyable. While I will admit that I have enjoyed smoking over the years, it was no longer enjoyable but I still HAD to do it the 18 months before I quit smoking.
12. Interesting an emerging market of new products, and old ones.
13. The government can't interfere with my vaping given the amount of nicotine I have frozen. I am not forced to pay Federal taxes, yet at least.
14. While vaping has its own share of haters, it's not quite like tobacco. I mean, that's really pretty demonized at the moment, and it's not fun to be a "dying breed."
15.Of late, more positive reports are showing vaping to be less harmful than smoking. HARM REDUCTION is my big win, here.
16. Vaping is self-sustaining e.g. -- once adequately prepared with the necessary supplies and using DIY and coilbuilding, most things that make up the vaping experience are very inexpensive once an adequate supply of hardware is obtained.
17. I enjoy exercise more
18. I enjoy most things more because I can breathe.
19. I don't have to feel like a "quitter" even though I am one, and by that I mean the ceaseless cravings I got for tobacco during any and all of my quit attempts including cold turkey while pregnant and nursing. I craved tobacco daily, often more than once.
20. No running out of cigarettes and being forced to buy more on the go.
21. I really really dislike the idea of cancer and/or COPD. While my risk is not gone, e-cigarettes reduce the amount of risk.
22. I have something hand-to-mouth, satisfying, that I can inhale with less risk.

I think I could go on but that's good enough for me, for now. Great topic :)

    1. Quit snoring almost overnight
2.needed a break from talking to cashiers and standing in line.
    3. Car windows can stay up!
    4. No smoke in the eyes
    5. No ripping the skin off my lips
6.Nowadays, I'd probably be driving out of state or riskily obtaining my cigs in a back alley.

    #42... nope. Doesn't apply to me. ..

On a happy note - #42 doesn't apply to me... hahaha

Anyway - Welcome to ECF and congratulations on quitting smoking!
I saw that one --- I thought that only applied to booze. Well, I do not get boners :) :) but all other parts work the same before during and after smoking/vaping so does not apply.
