Just wanted to say hello. I wrote a really long story and when I submitted it it said I was not logged in so lost the whole darn thing so will add to this later.

That happened to me too. I guess my tale will come out in bits, but it's probably about like everyone else's anyway. Yours for example...I've been a smoker since age 10 (I'm 62 now). I switched to all-natural tobacco about 6 years ago and never thought I would or could quit. I genuinely enjoyed smoking. It was the $3,000 per year expense that made me decide we had to quit.

When the e-cigs first hit the market I was interested, but they were so darn expensive, I wasn't about to plunk down $200 just to see if the thing worked or not. Now that they've come down in price (most of 'em, anyway), and the technology has progressed, and now that more of the better ones are made right here in the USA, I am so glad I made the switch and like you, I am amazed. From the very first day our tobacco cravings simply vanished! It's only been two weeks since we quit, but we are both positive that we will never smoke again. Welcome to the forum, from one newbie to another!

Tried the blucig disposable two weeks ago and haven't had a cigarette yet. well, it will be two weeks Saturday at noon. Using an Ego now......24 mg. I had NO intentions of quitting. None! bought the device to maybe help me when kids come to visit as the smoke really bothers them.

E cigs are a miracle .......no doubt about that. Looking forward to telling more of my story as time goes by, just know that I am in shock. how this thing could take a hard core chain smoker of 50 years and she instantly quits?? Amazing. I have read all 40 pages of the success stories in the last couple weeks so feel like I know some of you already.

Looking forward to more reading and sharing!

35 year smoker. Last twenty rolling my own to the tune of 40-50 a day. 2+ years smoke free.
I totally agree with the miracle part.

Welcome to ECF, Sally! I was a heavy smoker for 43 years...no one thought I would ever quit...especially me. But with vaping I did! It'll be 18 months with NO cigarettes at all on March 29th. And it wasn't even "painful"! It was easy, right from my first puff on an e-cig. Miracle isn't too strong a word for it!

Glad you've joined our ranks!

Wow! Me too... 20-yrs now... still smoking the cancer-stick... waiting for my 1st e-Cig kit to arrive... was supposed to be today, but UPS updated (just now) to be delivered on Monday (Mar-11)... can't wait to STOP. More than me - it'd help all the folks around me.

Did my research... tasted (sorry 'vaped') a disposable one... liked it... and finally ordered my kit. Though a non-nic one, but I found it awesome... and thought it'd be Ok for me, didn't have much choice though, it's non-nic in Canada... and coctco.ca gave a neat price!

Welcome Sally, I am new also, 7.5 days since I left cigarettes behind forever, I am amazed I could do it after 44 years of smoking! Not just me, my Husband who has smoked for 50 years is now vaping and not missing cigarettes at all!
We consider it a miracle, every morning we wake up to breathing easier, tasting and smelling more and enjoying sharing our experiences with our new friends on the Forum!
The best part for me is I'm vaping dessert type juices and I'm not constantly eating like I did when I quit before, this could be the best thing I have ever done for myself!

You really summed it up. I was a 40+ year chain smoker and ordered my first kit more on a whim...never intended to quit, but my kids had kids and smoking was a no no. On the third day I was sitting with a strange look on my face and my wife of 37 years (also a heavy smoker) asked me what was wrong. Well nothing was wrong...I was just amazed at how well that little PV was working...I was speechless. Then she said "I want one, I want one". Now we are both non-smokers. They are truly a miracle. Enjoy the ride.
gets you right:laugh: there.:toast::toast:
