Hi everyone! I couldn't seem to find this with the search function but if anyone knows of a thread, feel free to direct me to it but please be gentle and tell me like I'm stupid as I've had dental work today and am heavily medicated at the moment.

I've recently purchased an adapter since I have 510 and KR808d1 batteries and cartos. It works fine with my V2cigs battery but I have to loosen the carto for it work with my Volts. I strongly prefer my Volts but can't really use it like that. I assume it has to do with the Volts being gen2? Have any of you lovely Volt users found a way for it to work or know of an adapter that just...works without any adjusting? Or hey, even an 808 to 510 adapter that works and where to get one? I need to order cartos very soon so they'll get here by Saturday and want to make sure they work with all my batteries!

Thank you!

I have 2 different 808 to 510 adapters. One works great with my Volt batteries and the other one lets in too much air. I am sorry but I don't remember where I got them so I can't tell you where to buy the one that works. I just wanted you to know that not all adapters are the same and there are ones that work great with Volts.

YES!! I would REALLY like to know the same thing!! A Volt to 510 adapter that works well (I've read lots of threads that say they've bought an adapter and it doesn't work with the Volt batteries -- something about the position of the air holes in the autos -- but have also read that any adapter will work with the Volt manual batteries!!). Soooooo confusing! LOL!! Also if anybody has used a Go-Go to Volt adapter so that the Go-Go HUGE 3 ml cartos would work with my SI Volt battery. Or even vice versa adapter to use SI cartos with the Go-Go! Soooooo does the problem of the different adapters not working have to do with whether it's a Volt auto or manual battery?? It would be GREAT to get a clarification on this! AND to know where people who have bought adapters that work from! Thanks for asking this question! Can't wait to hopefully finally get an answer to this myself!! :)

I bought an 808 to 510 adapter from GotVapes. Works. I only got it to try the Phoenix cartomizers. Works on the Volts just fine, though. Be sure to watch SteelJan's video regarding adapters, by the way.

Man, I totally read that as MadVapes for some reason and they were out of stock, so I went with VaporKings instead. Haha! Oh well, I bought a 510-808 and a 808-510 and some blank cartos so hopefully, at least one will work!

Thanks for suggestions everyone and I'll be sure to watch SteelJan's videos!

OK ... I'm dragging this topic back up! Is it just ME ... Or are other people having adapter problems??? I have ordered TWO adapters now (one from Madvapes & one from another supplier here on ECF), both were the "shorty" type 510 battery to 808 cartomizer so I can use my SI carts on my Riva 510 battery. I've tried EVERYTHING ... Adjusting center pin of cart. Adjusting centers of BOTH sides of adapter ... And NOTHING seems to work!!! I got ONE SI cart to work BRIEFLY on my Riva battery using the adapter (and that was by doing major manipulating!!) Took it apart & tried again ... And NOTHING!!! UGH!!!! I just can't figure it out! It's MORE than frustrating at this point!! I have LOTS of SI carts and WANT to use them! I'm using the Volt X2 batteries at home, but they way too big for me to use them when I'm out and about --- so I have a Riva 750 that is MUCH smaller for on the go use --- and I need an adapter that WORKS so I don't have to buy all new 510 carts & fill them & have everything duplicated! Ugh! And sigh!! Can somebody tell me where to get an adapter that is KNOWN to work? Could it be the "shorty" style giving me the problem? Geeez why would it work that one time and then not again?? I've watched Steeljan's video (twice ;-) so I know I'm doing it right. Do I need a regular size adapter rather than "shorty" -- although I don't see where the thickness would affect it (???) UGH!!!!!! HELP!!!!!! (ahhhhhh thank you ... Rant over! :)

Adapters are really unlikely to work on auto batteries with some things. To get one to work with one of my tanks on an X2 I had to tape the seal between the 510 cart and the adapter and then dremmel slots in the 808 end of the adapter to allow the air to flow through the battery correctly and it still wouldn't fire very reliably. It was a giant PITA.

The adapters I got from Madvapes didn't work at all on my Volts. Manual or auto, they just wouldn't fire.

Got some from Gotvapes and those work very well with Volts. They even work with some of my 510 cartos on Auto batts without needing to be modified.

so I can use my SI carts on my Riva 510 battery.

Just tried a Gotvapes 510 to 808 (short) adapter with an SI cart on my Lavatube. It works fine. You might try that with your Riva.

Hey, just saw this thread was bumped the other day so I thought I would update! The adapter I bought from VaporKings will work with the manual Volt and all other KR808D-1 batteries I have but will not work with Volt autos. It kind of worked the first day but then it just stopped working altogether. I'm actually giving my Joye 510s to my sister now but all my 510s work with the 808 adapter I bought so I'm not looking to buy one right at this moment but thanks so much for the new information, everyone!

I bought some 901/808D to 510 adapters from Madvapes and they work great on my manual X2's, I don't own an Auto so ? for those, anyway, I did have trouble with one making my button blink with a full charge. I found it had a peice of metal burr stuck on the side of the read, and when I removed it my problem disappeared and it works fine.

Off Topic, I had bought them to try the Bauway 510 XL CE2 Style Clear Cartomizers 3 Ohm, which give me a hotter hit with more Vapor production, zero leaks & zero flooding after one week of use.

The draw back is syringe filling, though I've found an alternative method; remove the plunger and insert the empty syringe through the opening of the Clearo, fill the syringe container, from your dripper-top juice bottle, carefully insert the plunger and load your Clearo.

This removes the need to re-fill your syringe from the bottle or bottlecap and having to remove & replace the syringe into the nearly invisible insertion point.
