I've gotten to the point where I can look down into a 510 atty.... and if I see the wick sticking out on both sides of the bridge than there is a very, very high probability that the atty is going to work good. If it is a tiny wick that I can hardly see.... then it's most likely going to be a dud unit. My predictions have been annoyingly accurate so far.

Yeah, I am thinking about it. They really need to get some sort of quality control over this stuff, because they are going to lose a e cigarette users that get sick and tired of getting faulty equipment.

I feel ya out of 6 attys that I have I have one good one the others are duds.. they work but hardly any vapor and the throat hit is a joke:mad:

I'm really becoming annoyed with the QC on the Joye atty's. I was really looking forward to the "clones". I've read a review or two on the SLB knock-offs..... not sure if they're the way to go yet or not.

Scott,

I don't know if the BE510 is considered a clone but I have some concerns with it. First I have several BE112's for the Janty Stick and they perform well. But, and again, I'm going to have to try out the other BE510 attys that I have, I am getting a pretty bad taste on this particular atty. Of course I did all the fixes, cleanings, etc. but this one has a bad taste shortly after vaping off the top of the cart and it isn't the normal 'vaping air' taste that one can get when running out of fluid and there is still some juice that's getting vaporized.

I'm even wondering if some of those that have reported bad taste and it wasn't the primer or running out of juice, had this type of atty :) Now, nothing solid until I test a few of the others in the 5 pack that I got but it is different than any other atty I have including those 'new attys' from innovapor that are troopers if you get the right 901 cart. I'd buy more of them if I could and frankly, was hoping that these BE510's were actually the 'new attys' resized to fit right. They look very similar inside - "washer" instead of metal mesh, - tad higher bridge looks built well, etc.

That said, I'm pretty sure the BECI is making these not SLB, so we might be talking apples and oranges. I'll report back when I get around to testing the others in that pack.
