am sure this has been answered somewhere but i cant seem to find the thread...

how do you get rid of the burnt taste on a new atomizer again..i do recall reading somewhere that the initial burnt taste is the primer on a new atomizer..

and how long does this thing usually last..

funny thing is, ive been using janty atomizers and have never come across this primer issue (even on new janty atomizers)...but then i just purchased a spare joye 510 atomizer (first time) and noticed that burnt taste...

thanks

The taste of the shipping/primer fluid can vary greatly to where you don't need to do anything, to soaking it in high proof pure grain alcohol. I use 151 vodka. The idea here is to only do what is necessary to get rid of the taste or reduce it. It would eventually go away. I like this 'gradient' approach.

So first, from the batt/threaded end, blow out into a paper towel at the cart end. Blow until you're not getting any wetness - take the paper towel and clean the inside chamber with care not to disturb the bridge in there. Try it now - put two drops on the bridge, load the cart (don't overfill) and vape.

If it's still strong, then you could put some vodka in the area of the bridge and shake it up - blow out and let dry. And try again.

If still strong, then put some vodka in a container where the atty will be submerged and put in the atty and let it soak for about 10 minutes. Blow out as before and let dry. 2 drops of ejuice on the bridge, loaded cart and vape.

At this point, it should be gone but if there's a trace left, I'd just keep on vaping at this point. By the next top off it will be gone. OR if there's a harsh taste still, it's the juice or you're running out of juice - a dry atty will have a harsh/dry taste. Always top off when you detect a loss of flavor so it doesn't get to that point.
