I have a Volcano Magma e-cig. The atty died after just 2 weeks. I have attys I've been using on other e-cigs that are still working after 2 months. Volcano wouldn't replace the dead atty, so I'm not wanting to buy from them anymore.

Question: Is there a specific type of 510 atty I need to look for that will work with my Magma, or are all 510 attys the same?

TIA.

All 510 atomizers will fit and work properly, but they are not all the same.
I suggest trying to get genuine Joye 510 atomizers, but I'm not sure how you go about that.

I bought 30 atomizers over a year ago, so I am not up to speed on the various types that are around now.

I did buy some SLB 510s at one point, just to try them since they are supposed to have higher resistance.
I didn't like them though.

But then, other people might very well suggest you get SLBs because they like them.
So there you go.

Sorry to be such a PITA, but I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to electronics. I'm on the Pure Smoker site looking at the Joye 510 atty recommended by nomochokes (thx). I have to choose low, standard or high resistance type. No idea at all what's what. Which "resistance" do I want???

I appreciate everyone's help!

High resistance is only for high voltage battery mods, like 5v or even higher.
I assume you are running 3.7v or less, so you don't want those.

Low resistance atomizers give much more vapor and throat hit.
They basically get a lot hotter than standards because of the lower resistance.
It is like simulating high voltage vaping without getting a high voltage battery mod.

To use low resistance atomizers, you have to have stronger batteries supposedly.
The recommendation is at least 450mah I believe, but I'm not sure I remember correctly.

So you'd need an Ego/Riva/Tornado or equivalent at least.

A lot of people love the low resistance because they can take smaller drags and get lots of vapor.
And some people, like me, don't like them because we like to take long drags and they make the juice taste burnt.
