I just got my Buzz, and I love the build quality and battery life, but...

It won't fire with regular atomizers. I got mine from HealthCabin; I assume they are actual Joye brand.

I am, of course, using an adapter. When I press the button the LED blinks and goes out. I have tried multiple atomizers and adapters, it is the same with all of them.

The funny thing is, it still works with my cartomizers fine. The problem with this is I get very little flavor or vapor, but if I turn up the voltage the cart gets really hot and it burns my lips before I get a good hit.

Sadly, I have no voltmeter, and mine didn't come with the adapter for that anyway.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I use Joye 510 attys with no problems. Since you said the LED blinks it makes me think you're screwing the adapter onto the Buzz first and then the atty. Try screwing the atty into the adapter first and then onto the Buzz.

Same thing is happening with me, I tried the crashtestjeep method of pulling out the atty contact point to make the connection with the adapter, but still no bueno. I'm using genuine Joye atty's, slb and boge's.. It's either a hit or miss...I'm just gonna order the 510 cap and not worry about it.

Think it is your adapter you are using. I am using an 801 to 510 and not having issues.. It could be the 901 to 510 does have issues.. Dont know.. Yeah Getting the 510 cap would solve all that.. :)

I've been using various 901 -> 510 adapters for months without any issues, on 510 cartos and on Joye 510's as well. Odd!

The first atty worked great for about two weeks, it was a genuine joy 510 atty. The 2nd was a boge that lasted about 3 days and the slb lasted one day. I figured that instead of going through attys, I'll just get the new cap. My cartos (boge) work great though!!

I think it's odd too. I've been using 510 attys and adapters for 3 months on my Buzz and never had a problem. I wondered if people are having problems due to over tightening things. I know a lot of guys think everything needs to be tightened down like a lug nut and that could cause problems.

Well, FWIW, I was in the habit of putting the atty on the adapter partially (don't tighten all the way) and then screwing it onto the Buzz and then making sure both were snug but not over tight.

I wondered about the over tightening because I remember when Vaprlife had to change the design of their units because guys were tightening attys and adapters so tight they were breaking the connector off. Then Chris had to make a video showing guys that attys and adapters aren't lug nuts and they only need to be snug. :)

You must mean like when the guys at the tire store tightened my lug nut so tight that 2 250-300-pound guys working together couldn't get it to budge and had to tow the car? Ha!

About the adapter (I"M speaking of 901-510), it's odd to me how it moves inside. I really never expected that, but I guess what I ended up doing was making a compromise of the extra space and splitting it between the atty side and the adapter side. Obviously, there may very well be a problem with TheBigD's hardware, though.

I have numerous 901-510 adapters and it seems as though none of them are the same length in regard to the post. Some are just right, some are to long. I always put adapter to atty first, then whole thing on Buzz, just snug, never over tighten (habit from that silicone ring on post). However after changing to the 510 cap and seeing how these are made, there is no worry's there. You would need a impact wrench to break what is used to protect the post.
You need that meter at least for the sake of testing, plus its fun as hell to play with it and the Buzz.

I've run into lug nuts like that myself. I use to work at a quick lube and ran into lots of nuts that were way over tightened. Even on some oil filters they were on so tight that we had to destroy them to get them off. I think some guys don't understand what hand tight means and instead they think the tighter the better.
