Hiya. I've tried cleaning this atty, but for some reason, even if i drip 3-4 drops on it after cleaning or blowing out the atty, it will glow bright orange within a second! Did i mess something up with it, and is it salvagable?
Just to clarify where my logic on this issue stems from:
I'm a 510 dripper with a tornado battery. I modded my attys by pulling the wick and bridge out. I can't say for certain if my logic is applicable to normal cart usage. But I can say for certain that the first time I dripped was the last time I used a cart.
I've yet to find a straight PG juice that hasn't proven to be problematic for dripping. They just never seem to hit right. But using a 20% VG mix does the trick wonderfully.
So with that in mind...
Don't be surprised if you have to put 4 to 6 drops in to get an atty to hit right after it's been cleaned. And I always end up adding a drop every 2 or 3 puffs for a bit to keep it from running dry (turning orange) until it gets back to normal. From that point on you can just add 1 or 2 drops per usual. Hope this helps
A nice cleaned atty will start to vape well after the second round of 3 drops on the bridge. It takes some juice to moist all the mesh, but you can't flood it also. So 3 drops...vape a bit...3 drops more and cart in. It will vape normally after a few puffs.
My cleaned and bone-dry 510 atomizers take 10-15 drops to make sure I saturate the coil area. That nickel foam holds a LOT of liquid! I don't count drops anymore, I simply squirt liquid onto the foam until I think it's too much. Avoids getting that nasty dry cart taste.
